MemberHey Romana,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you with that!
Can you please confirm that all of your plugins are up to date? If all plugins are up to date, can you please let us know where are you getting this error? Is it happening while using WordPress Customize or via Dashboard (when you access Appearance -> Widgets menu)?
Also, I would suggest you to use Chrome Developer Tools to spot any console errors in your site. Access the page where you are experiencing this issue (using Google Chrome) and press F12. After that click on the Console menu and send us a screenshot / let us know if you see any errors in there. You will find further information about Chrome Developer tools here.
If you see any errors in the console, please run a Conflicts Test by temporarily deactivating all of your plugins (except The Events Calendar) and changing your current active theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let us know if the issue persists after that.
I hope this helps you get started! Let me know your test results and I’ll be happy to further investigate your case if necessary!
Regards,
Patricia

MemberHey James,
Welcome back!
I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you with that!
We recently changed the permalink logic for recurring events (it was removed from The Events Calendar and implemented on Events Calendar PRO instead), so to make sure that everything works as expected, please update both plugins to their latest versions.
If the issue persists after the plugins update, please access your Dashboard and head over to Settings -> Permalinks for a permalink flush (no need to change anything, just visit the permalinks page: WordPress will automatically flush your permalinks once you visit it).
If the issue persists after the permalink flush, please let us know and we will be happy to further investigate your case.

Patricia

MemberHey Amy,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
You can use shortcodes to embed full calendar views in places other than the main calendar page.
You will find further information about our calendar shortcodes here.
If you want to know more about the available options to add a calendar to your homepage, please check this article as well.
Let me know if you need anything else in the mean time and I’ll be happy to assist!

MemberHi Ryan!
The “Show Google Map” option allows you to enable Google Map by default on imported event and venues, so it might have solved 50% of the problem, but unfortunately none of these options are being imported from .csv files yet (neither Show Google Maps Link or Show Map).
I’m glad to know that enabling this option helped to partially solve your problem. If in your specific case enabling the “Show Google Map” option allowed you to import events with both Show Map and Show Map Link set to TRUE (events are imported with both boxes checked), can you please share with us your CSV file so we can run some tests and find out what might be a solution for this bug?
Thanks in advance!

Patricia

MemberHi John,
Good to know that you’ve found a solution for your problem. I’m a little perplexed, especially as I don’t know of other users detailing with this exactly scenario.
Can you please let me know what was your previous version of The Events Calendar PRO (where your older recurring events were created) so we can run some tests and try to replicate the issue from here?
Thanks!
Patricia

MemberHi Rainer,
I believe that in your specific case there’s a theme or plugin conflict generating this 500 internal server error as The Events Calendar is fully compatible with PHP 7.0.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
I would also suggest you to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while recreating this 500 internal server error. All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.
If you have any other questions in the meantime, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!
Best Regards,
Patricia

MemberHi Doug,
Thanks for your confirmation on this. Since the errors you’ve found in the logs are not very helpful and the issue persists even after deactivating all of your plugins and changing your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen (as recommended in our Testing for conflicts Guide), I would suggest you to increase the PHP memory limit in WordPress. You can do this by editing the wp-config.php file on your site and adding this line:
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
By default, WordPress automatically tries to increase PHP memory limit if it is less than 64MB. However, 64MB is often not high enough and can cause an 500 internal server error.
If the issue persists, please share your system info with us and send us a copy of your site files (themes and plugins directories) and database in a private reply so we can further investigate your case.
Thanks!

Patricia

MemberHi Ben,
Please accept out sincere apologies for the delayed response as our forums are monitored on weekdays.
Can you please confirm that you followed all the steps mentioned bellow and the issue persists?
1- Flushed your permalinks (As recommended on “Fixing HTTP 404 errors” article).
2- Changed your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and deactivated all of your plugins (as recommended in the Testing for conflicts article).
3- If you didn’t try it yet, clear your site’s cache while having all plugins deactivated and let me know if the issue persists. If none of these options helped you to solve your problem I would ask you to send us a copy of your site files (plugins and themes directories) and database in a private reply so we can further investigate this issue.
Also, if you have any other questions in the mean time, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!

MemberHey Michele,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing.
I’ve verified that although your calendar is displaying this 404 error, the HTTP status for this page is HTTP/1.1 200 OK (you can check this by pasting your calendar URL (https://www.jenscom.com/dev/tha/events/) here).
So it seems that your calendar is loading as expected, but for some reason it’s being hidden/replaced by this generic 404 error.
Since you already ran the Conflict Test (deactivated all plugins, except TEC, and switched your current active theme to a WordPress default like Twenty Seventeen) and the issue persists, can you please please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while accessing your Events page? All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.
I hope this helps! Let me know your test results and I’ll be happy to further investigate your case if necessary.

Patricia

I believe you already solved the problem since the add to cart button is already showing up in the page you mentioned, is that correct?

MemberHey @gavlekommun,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
The Events Calendar can handle large numbers of events and work well even in very high traffic websites. However, it is important to understand that performance is dependent on many environmental factors that the plugin itself is often unable to manage automatically.
You will find further information about performance optimization in the following article:
