MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! While we don’t currently include any functionality for scraping data directly from human-readable calendars, we do offer a number of solutions for importing calendar data, including WordPress XML import, CSV import, iCal/ICS import (via iCal Importer), and Facebook event import (via Facebook Events). Our Knowledgebase has plenty of information on the workings of each of these, and we’d be happy to answer any specific questions you might have, as well!
Does that help to answer your question here? Let me know if there’s anything else we can do to assist! 🙂

MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! We are happy to offer a nonprofit partnership program to provide free and/or discounted licenses of Events Calendar PRO to qualifying organizations–you can read more about our program and find our application link on our Knowledgebase here.
For the creating and selling of event tickets through WooCommerce, Event Tickets Plus will get you where you need to go! This plugin works alongside The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO and handles the creation and display of tickets on the front end, while all payment processing and order management is routed through WooCommerce or another e-commerce platform of your choice. As such, you’ll get the convenience of a solution that works great with your existing events and calendars, and any features such as “convenience fees” or other additional charges that are supported by WooCommerce should still work just fine.
Does that help to answer your questions? Let me know if there’s anything else we can do to assist! 🙂 Thanks again for your interest!

MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! Great question–are you wanting, then, to grant any and all users the ability to submit events to a shared calendar, as well as the ability to RSVP for events that have been posted? Or will events be submitted with the attendee list already finalized and included with the event submission? Just want to make sure that I’m giving you the most relevant information here! 🙂

MemberHi there! Thanks so much for getting in touch–we’re thrilled to hear that you’re considering our plugins for your site!
Regarding your question, there are a few ways to achieve a “featured event” type of display on your calendar pages. The simplest of these would likely be the Event List Widget that comes bundled with Events Calendar PRO. Using this, you could simply assign your featured event a special “Featured” category, drop your widget into a widgetized theme area, set it to display 1 event at a time, and select that “Featured” category for display in the widget’s settings. The PRO version of The Events Calendar also supports widget output via shortcode, with all of the same settings included as display options, if you’d prefer that method of displaying your featured event!
If you’d prefer a more detailed, hands-on approach to display your featured events just how you like them, we also offer a Themer’s Guide with plenty of information on our plugin templates and how to customize them to fit your needs! All events made with The Events Calendar are stored in the WordPress database as custom post types, so if you were to create an event with a “Featured” category assigned (as suggested above), making a custom “featured event” pane would be as straightforward as pulling posts of the post type tribe_events from that “Featured” taxonomy (tribe_events_cat).
Does that help to answer your question? Let me know if you should have any others or if I can provide clarification in any way! 🙂 Thanks again!

MemberHi Aimee,
Thanks for getting in touch! While tickets are created through events as you described for Event Tickets Plus, they’ll be stored in the database as individual WooCommerce products, and all order processing and management will be routed through WooCommerce. This means that many (if not most) WooCommerce plugins and extensions will still work as expected with Event Tickets Plus–we’ve had many users report success using WooCommerce Memberships to achieve similar functionality with members-only discounts.
I’d encourage you to try setting up Event Tickets Plus and running some tests to see if everything will work smoothly in your ideal setup! As always, we’re happy to offer a full 30-day return policy on all of our products, so if things don’t work quite as expected and our support team isn’t able to assist, you’re more than welcome to reach out to us for a complete refund of your purchase price.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns! 🙂

MemberHi there! Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins–I’d be happy to take some time to answer your questions here! 🙂
I’m pleased to report that all of the features you’ve listed are possible with Event Tickets Plus running alongside The Events Calendar (or Events Calendar PRO) and Event Tickets! The Events Calendar (free) or Events Calendar PRO (premium) would provide your basic calendar and event functionality, while Event Tickets (free) adds core ticketing functionality, and Event Tickets Plus builds on that with support for paid ticketing through the e-commerce platform of your choice. WooCommerce is a popular choice and supports PayPal payments right out of the box!
Our Knowledgebase has more detailed information on making tickets and managing orders, including options for limiting stock to cap sales at a certain number of tickets.
Let me know if you should have any other questions about our products or how they might work for your site! Thanks again for stopping by!

MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch–and sorry to hear you’re having some issues here! Unfortunately, we’re not able to assist with technical support questions here in our pre-sales forum, but we’d be happy to help you over on our WordPress.org forums, if you wouldn’t mind making a post over there with your question.
In the meantime, I’d encourage you to consider taking a look at our Themer’s Guide and seeing if you might be able to find your answer there! It’s got plenty of information on plugin template files and how to customize them to fit your display preferences, and it’s very likely that a simple template tweak using the guidelines provided will achieve just the effect you’re looking for.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi there!
Thanks for stopping by! I’m afraid that we don’t currently offer back-end product demos for any of our plugins at this time–sorry to disappoint. That said, we do offer a means of trying our products risk-free with our very generous 30-day refund policy! Please feel free to purchase and test any plugins you’d like for up to 30 full days from your date of purchase, and if you should find they’re not right for you for any reason, let us know and we’ll be glad to issue a complete refund. WooCommerce also offers a similar 30-day return window, so you can feel free to take your time with both plugins to make absolutely sure that they’ll work great for you. And of course, our support team is always on hand to assist with any issues you might have during your trial period. 🙂
I hope that helps a bit to clarify what our offerings and policies are! Let us know if you should have any other questions–we’d be glad to assist!

MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately, we aren’t currently offering any bundle deals for Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus, nor do we have any ongoing sales promotions at this time. However, we do provide coupon codes to our users from time to time for certain occasions–the best way to keep up with these would be to follow us on Facebook or Twitter, or subscribe to our newsletter. (You’ll find the newsletter sign-up form at the bottom of this very page!)
Regarding the added functionality of PRO, you’re correct in that widget shortcodes are a PRO-only feature. However, you can easily add extra content to events pages via template customizations, which are supported in both our free and paid versions of The Events Calendar. Our Themer’s Guide has the scoop on how to get started with template customizations for our products!
Does that help to answer your questions? Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist! 🙂 Thanks again!

Happy reading, and we’ll see you over on WordPress.org! 🙂
July 4, 2016 at 11:29 am in reply to: Pre-Sales Question: Can you group by Event Category, and output in list view? #1135167Caroline
MemberAbsolutely–I’d try experimenting with some different settings on the Events List shortcode, in that case! Perhaps something like [tribe_events_list tags=”featured”] or [tribe_events_list category=”featured”] might work well for your needs. (Of course, you’ll want to use whatever tag or category you have assigned to your featured events!)
I hope that helps to get you started! If you should have any questions as you go, you’re of course more than welcome to pay us a visit over in our PRO forum–our support team would be more than happy to point you in the right direction! 🙂
Thanks again!
