Eventbrite Tickets Calendar
GuestHello,
I’ve watched your demo video on the add-on for eventbrite. We are in the process of launching a new website in wordpress. We already use your events calendar plugin, but are interested in the license for eventbrite. Our resort offers a number of activities for our guests, however, these are not open to the public, so we don’t want to have our events made public. Is there no way that we can display private events on the calendar with this license?
Thanks,

MemberHi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out our plugins and get in touch! 🙂
Great question. You may want to consider reviewing your settings for Eventbrite imports and changing the default status for imported events to “Pending”, as seen here. This will allow you to review your imported events before assigning them a final status and publishing them. By changing the Visibility setting (located below Status in the upper-right pane when editing an event) for your members-only events to “Private” before publishing, your events will be visible on your calendar pages only to logged-in users.
Feel free to give this a try with a test event and see if it works for you! Let me know if you should have any other questions or if there’s anything else I can do to assist!

GuestThanks Caroline. Is there a trial of the eventbrite tickets add-on that we could try for say a week to test it out before purchasing the license? My question still stands, can I show private events on the calendar? I understand that once I put them on a calendar, they are “public” per say, but really the only way someone would get to them is from our website, versus live to the world out on eventbrite.

MemberOf course! We don’t offer any limited trial/demo versions of our products per se, but we are happy to offer a 30-day full refund policy on any and all of our premium product offerings. You’re absolutely free to use our products as much as you’d like within that window (and take advantage of our dedicated support for any questions you might have) to make sure they’re a great fit for you!
Regarding your question before, I’m so sorry if I misunderstood–are you hoping to import private events from Eventbrite to display as public events on your calendar, rather than the other way around? If so, I’m happy to confirm that unlisted events on Eventbrite will still import just fine through Eventbrite Tickets! When creating your Eventbrite event, you can simply specify “Private page” under the Listing Privacy setting, and your event will be hidden from searches and only available on Eventbrite to those who have your event’s URL. Eventbrite Tickets accesses your user account directly for importing events and will gladly import any events it finds regardless of their privacy setting.
Is that closer to the information you were hoping for? Let me know if I can clarify anything or if you should have any other questions! 🙂 Thanks again!
