MemberHi Richard,
Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. It sounds like you’re using the free version of Event Tickets–if this is the case, you can request further assistance on the WordPress.org support forum!

If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! 🙂
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

MemberHi Vincent,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins! I’m afraid that we don’t offer any unlimited-use, non-renewable versions of any of our products at this time. However, with the exception of Event Aggregator (which relies on our servers for processing import tasks), all of our plugins are self-contained and can still be used after a one-year license has expired. Expired plugins cannot be automatically updated via WordPress, and there is no premium support available for expired licensing, but the plugins themselves will continue to work just fine. This may be an option for you if you’d like to try our premium plugins but don’t wish to renew each year!
If you’d like to retain access to automatic updates and support and just wish to have an option that’s paid for more than one year upfront, you can purchase a one-year license and then immediately renew one or more times. Each renewal purchase will extend your license’s expiration date by an additional year, so you could have a “five-year license” by simply renewing your license four times in a row. You can learn more about our renewals on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/renewing-your-license/
I hope that helps to clarify some of your options here! Thanks again for stopping by, and let us know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

MemberHi Sharon,
Thanks for following up to clarify–so sorry for the confusion here! Licenses purchased using our nonprofit discount coupons are eligible for premium support, just the same as full-price licensing. It looks as though your Event Tickets Plus license was incorrectly flagged as a free license, which resulted in your premium support access being disabled. I’ve gone ahead and fixed that for you, so you should now be able to post a new thread in our Event Tickets Plus forum! 🙂
Again, I’m so sorry for the trouble here! Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here–otherwise, we’ll see you over in the premium forums!

MemberHi Chris,
Thanks for following up! Absolutely; this should work just fine if you’re willing to apply a bit of extra scrutiny when checking in attendees! Obviously embedding the event date in this manner won’t prevent a ticket from being checked in on another date in the series, but as long as the person screening attendees is careful when scanning tickets, this shouldn’t be an issue. 🙂 You’re always welcome to try setting up a dummy event in this manner and testing check-ins with this ticket type! If you should encounter any issues that might be a deal-breaker, you can always request a refund within 30 days of your original purchase. You can read more about our refund policy at the link below:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Rance,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! No worries at all–I’ve gone ahead and exchanged your Community Events license for Event Tickets Plus, per your request. You’ll find the plugin files and new license key for your purchase in your account on TheEventsCalendar.com. Simply log in, download, and install, and you’ll be good to go from there! 🙂
In the future, should you encounter any issues relating to accounts or purchasing that need our attention, we recommend reaching out to us by email for the most immediate response! This ensures that your post won’t accidentally get mixed up with our many technical support posts, and it allows us to exchange private information (such as license keys) more readily. Our refund form for refund and exchange requests can be found at the link below:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
I hope that helps to get you all sorted here! Please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions or concerns! Cheers, and happy ticketing!

MemberHi Tonia,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! This issue can occur when you have a number of plugins enabled that add their own columns to your post (and/or custom post type) listings, such as SEO plugins. When viewing your event listing as seen in this screencap, simply scroll to the top of the page, click the Screen Options tab that’s displayed there, and uncheck the boxes for any columns that you don’t need. Save your changes, and once the page refreshes, you’ll see the remaining columns expanding to fill the available space.
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and if you should have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to pay us a visit over on our WordPress.org support forum! 🙂

MemberHi Gigi,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out! While we’re not able to process orders for our products (or administer any other type of support) by phone at this time, we’d be glad to see what we can do to work something out for you! Would you sending us a quick email with the details of your inquiry so that we can continue this conversation off of the forums? You can use our form linked below to contact us–simply select “Help accessing my account” to display the full email form.
https://theeventscalendar.com/contact/
Once we’ve received your message, we’ll follow up to continue the discussion and, if needed, redirect you to a member of our products team who can assist further.
Thanks again, and we’ll see you over in email! 🙂

MemberHi Andre,
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! I’d be more than happy to assist you with your questions here! 🙂
- You can certainly limit the number of tickets that are sold per event using the global stock feature of Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus. Our Knowledgebase article here goes into more depth on how to use global stock to set a limit for all ticket types for your event! https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/making-tickets/#global-stock
- Unfortunately, we do not offer support for waiting lists for event RSVPs or paid tickets at this time. 🙁
- We don’t have any social sharing buttons built in to our plugins by default, but any event can be easily shared to social media by simply copying and pasting a link to the single event post. Most well-implemented third-party social media sharing plugins should also work for more immediate sharing!
- While we haven’t yet implemented event reminder emails into any of our plugins at this time, this is a feature we’re planning to develop for a future release! You can keep tabs on the latest news regarding this feature on our UserVoice forum here:
If you’re looking for a solution to tide you over until then, a user on our forums has taken the time to share information on how their developer achieved this functionality on their site. You can read all the details on their forum post here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/short-term-solution-for-event-reminder-emails/
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Colm,
Thanks so much–I’ve received your email and have sent a reply back your way! 🙂 As far as our licenses and renewals are concerned, you’re absolutely right. With the exception of Event Aggregator (which relies on our servers to process import tasks), all of our plugins are self-contained on your own WordPress install, and expired plugins will continue to work just fine without current licensing. However, you will no longer have access to our premium support services for expired plugins, and you won’t be able to update expired plugins beyond the latest version that was available on your license’s expiration date.
I hope that helps to clarify things a bit! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Kellie,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! You can easily change the default events view that displays to your visitors through your plugin settings (and even disable the option for users to change views, if you’d like). These options can be found under Enable event views and Default view beneath the Display tab in Events > Settings. You can read more about all the available settings in The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wp-admin-settings-overview/
I hope that helps! 🙂 Thanks again, and don’t hesitate to let us know if you should have any other questions!
