ParticipantHi everyone!
My this seems to be a popular topic!
In order to have a separate page for each category you’re going to have to do some customization, which we can’t really help you with. But I can tell you that it would likely involve creating a page template for each category and then filtering the calendar to display only that category on that page.
You can find some more details that you’d need to make this happen over in our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and maybe even our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/). If that’s above your skill level, I can point you to where you might find some folks who might be able to help. Let me know if you’d like me to do that.
Anything else I can help with?

ParticipantHi aaslh,
I do see the problem that was reported in the previous thread. The link you provided goes to a site that doesn’t seem to have The Events Calendar plugin installed. And when I try to duplicate it on my local install, it seems to be working fine. This leads me to believe that it was addressed in the recent update. Did you try testing it with the default Twenty Eleven theme rather than your custom theme?

ParticipantHi Sean,
That’s frustrating, and a little crazy! Can you verify that you have tried disabling all the other plugins? And have you tried it with the default Twenty Eleven theme? In addition, can you copy and send all the system information that can be found under the Events > Help area? You can do that as a private message if you’d like.
It really sounds like it’s a conflict with another plugin, or possibly something in your theme. But let’s see if we can identify it.

ParticipantHello mastafu,
Thanks for the screenshot!
That’s not how it’s supposed to work. I’m going to have one of the developers take a closer look and see if they can figure out why it’s translating classes as well as display text. They’ll have a look about and get back to you shortly.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. And for letting us know!

ParticipantHello there Neil,
That’s quite a list you’ve got there!
It’s going to take a bit of customization to do what you want. You can find some information on how to do that in our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and some additional reference material over in our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/).
I think if you have a look at the Themer’s Guide, you should be able to do what you want fairly easily, assuming you’re comfortable mucking about in the code.
While I can’t help you with your customization, let us know if you need any further pointers on information we might have available that could help.
Good luck with your project!

ParticipantNaton,
I re-read the topic again and I may have misunderstood. So I tried importing from the Facebook ID associated with the group for the event that you provided (http://d.pr/i/Xe8H) and did get the “group does not have any Facebook events” error message. However, at this point, the group really didn’t have any Facebook events that hadn’t already been imported, so it was an accurate error.
Can you add a couple more events possibly so I can try again?
— Julie
Julie Kuehl
ParticipantOK naton, bear with me. When I entered that Facebook event ID I was able to import it with no problem. So when you try to import it you get the “group does not have any Facebook events” message? And just to be clear, here http://d.pr/i/lI4Q is a screenshot of where I entered the event ID.
Is this what’s giving you trouble?

ParticipantHello again richbkk,
Thanks for trying the local install. It’s got me really puzzled now. I haven’t heard anyone else mention an issue quite like this. Can you share which Facebook events you are trying to import so I can try to duplicate the behavior? Do you have the Facebook ID that’s been giving you problems? I suppose I should ask if you’ve tried other IDs as well, in case it’s a problem with just that event.
There are always updates on the horizon for plugins. But since I’ve not heard of a similar issue I don’t know that an update would address it. Could, but also maybe could not.
I’d like to see if I can duplicate it locally first. If that doesn’t work, perhaps a quick look through your dashboard would be the next step. Let me know about the Facebook ID(s) and I’ll give it a try.

ParticipantHi pandaology,
Yeah, you found it. Sorry about that. Facebook must have changed its API recently and it’s caused an issue with the images. It’s a known bug that the developers are working to squash quickly. We expect that this will be addressed in an upcoming maintenance release.
Hang in there and we’ll get is sorted just as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

ParticipantHi Ben,
Pub? Did you say pub?
Sorry, I got distracted there. If I understand you correctly, I don’t foresee any problem. WooCommerce Tickets is tied to sites, really calendars, the way that Event Calendar PRO is. So if your intention is to only have tickets available from the umbrella site, that should work. If instead you want to have WooCommerce Tickets available on all the sites, the same secret applies. But each site would then have it’s own list of “products” (aka tickets) to manage. That information is kept separately with each site as well.
Did I answer your question?

ParticipantHi Tim,
I’m not quite sure which image you are referring to as too large. The featured image of the pumpkin? Or the one’s for the related events like the seal?
One possible solution would be to resize the images before uploading them into WordPress. But other than that it appears to me that they are working as designed.
Have I misunderstood something?
