ParticipantHi reimic,
I’ll do what I can to help you get this figured out. First, what exactly is the problem with the timezone? I can see what the calendar is displaying, but what is it that you would like them to be showing? And what local timezone are you using?
One other thing that could help here is to include the information about your system that can be found under Events > Settings. If you could copy all the data in the black box and send it over, in a private message if you prefer, that can help narrow it down too.
Oh, one other thing. The code fix for the functions.php probably isn’t going to work since it was meant for an earlier release of the plugin.
If you can share that information with me, I can work to track the problem down.

ParticipantHi thoand,
Well blimey, these time zones / time changes are confusing, no? OK, so “Berlin” works, but UTC +2 doesn’t. Actually that makes sense. UTC doesn’t shift with daylight savings time. So you would be UTC +2 before the time change and UTC +1 after, I think. Makes my head hurt.
Either way, it sounds like using “Berlin” will take care of this then. If something else pops up, please let us know!

ParticipantHi complexz,
I’m sorry we didn’t make it clear regarding our renewal process. Is there some place that we could improve that?
Your purchase gets you access to the support forums here and all the updates to the plugin for the next year. It’s up to you if you want to renew it at that time. The renewal doesn’t happen automatically. And if you choose not to renew, the plugin will continue to work, but you will lose access to support and updates. Your choice at that point for what would work best for you.
Does that answer your questions about the license/renewal process? Is there anything else I can clarify for you?

ParticipantHi Brian,
It sounds like you are familiar with our non-profit program (https://theeventscalendar.com/non-profits/), so to answer your questions: (1) Yes, you can remove your license and replace it with the non-profit license and then re-use yours on another site. (2) Not exactly. We can’t transfer ownership, but what we could do, if you reference this thread, is refund your money when you purchase the non-profit’s license.
Also, one thing to be aware of, with the non-profit program, they are given a copy of the plugin as it exists on the date they are approved. It does not include support or updates. If you wanted to keep the plugin updated, you might want to pursue having the non-profit purchase their own copy.
If you have any additional questions, please just ask!

ParticipantHi Daniel,
I’m sorry, but the way our plugin is currently designed, what you want to do does require digging into the code a bit to make some customizations. The relevant documentation can be found at http://docs.tri.be/, but it sounds like that might not be the way you want to go.
One thing that might help you, though, is that we are working on a filter bar that could assist in what you are trying to accomplish. It’s currently in beta, but you can check out a preview here: https://theeventscalendar.com/filter-bar-a-video-preview/.
I’m sorry that the plugin doesn’t do what you would like as it currently stands. If there’s anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

ParticipantHey Paul,
I’m glad you got the calendar working the way you wanted. Have you seen the add-on for color coding events that one of our trusted users developed? http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/ It might be a good place to start for your next wave.
Thanks for offering to help other folks. You and your developer have done a great job in making it work for you! Do you have any suggestions on what we could have done to make your task easier?

ParticipantI’m sorry Reuben, but we moved away from PayPal for a number of reasons. PayPal does offer a debit card for your account that we can accept, if that’s an option for you.

ParticipantHi gracebiblechurch,
Sorry for the troubles with the license key. If you’re super worried about your data there are a couple of best practices that you can do. FIRST – BACKUP YOUR SITE. And make sure you know how to restore it if it comes to that. You could also install a “maintenance mode” plugin to prevent any changes in the data while you’re resolving the issue. Then deactivate the PRO plugin and rename the PRO plugin folder. Now you can upload the new version from the dashboard and activate it. It should be working at that point, and you’ve got a couple of ways to step backwards if needed.
Can you give that a try and let me know how it goes?

ParticipantHello again aaslh,
I got your message and checked it out. I see the problem you are describing. However, when I test it out on my local install, I can’t replicate it. Works fine there. Have you deactivated the other plugins and reverted to the default Twenty Eleven theme to see if there is a conflict? Also can you send the system information found under Events > Settings > Help? That will help us see what’s going on.
Let’s try that and go from there.

ParticipantHello Jonah,
As we found out in your other thread, we can’t get the emails working properly to recreate this behavior could you forward one of those alert messages to us at pro (at) tri.be? Be sure to include a link to this thread so we can put it in context.
Thanks for your help in sorting this out!

ParticipantHello Jonah,
I’m covering this forum for Casey this week. Nice of you to stop by. I think. 🙂
Yup, we’ve been able to replicate it on this end, so I’ll log it as a bug to be squashed. Thanks for reporting it!
Anything else I can help you with?

ParticipantHello again thoand,
That’s very frustrating. I did notice that on your Facebook page the event seems to be set to UTC +1 but you said your WordPress site was set to UTC +2. Perhaps that explains it? Because the only other thing I’ve been able to find is that the Facebook API has some inconsistencies around daylight savings time that are beyond our control.
Sorry I can’t do more, but I’m not sure what else I can do.

ParticipantNaton,
I’m not sure I’ve tested every version of Facebook event possible, but take a look at this page https://www.facebook.com/help/216355421820757/. I believe that the event is still part of the group, but is now also visible to people not in the group. If the group was set to private, that would produce the error. But you’re saying that’s not the case? And it doesn’t help with importing them to the calendar?
