ParticipantHi hrnorge,
Unfortunately our plugin isn’t designed to do that out of the box. While it’s totally doable with some customizations if you want to dig into the code, you’re going to be on your own there. We do have our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) to provide you with some of the information that will be needed along the way.
If I can point you in the right direction, please ask.

ParticipantHey Josh,
Well that was easy. For me at least. 🙂
Seriously, glad you got it working. If there’s anything else we can ever help you with, please feel free to ask!

ParticipantHey naton,
That’s frustrating. Let’s see if we can track it down. I’m going to ask you to verify a few things first.
1) Your screenshot shows other plugins enabled. You did disable them and revert to the Twenty Eleven theme, right?
2) Can you also check your Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret to verify they’re OK? I know you said you could import manually, but let’s just double check.
3) Can you provide me with a link to the Facebook events page you are trying to import so I can test it out here?
That should help us get started in troubleshooting what’s going on.

ParticipantHi Tech,
< hehe Hi Tech – get it? 🙂 >
Goodness sakes no! Bug-free is not a premium feature. Bugs show up everywhere. And since this one appears to be in the base The Events Calendar, it’s going to also affect the Events Calendar PRO plugin.
Looks like what this bug needs is time, not money. I know they’re working hard to squash bugs in the code at the moment. We should have a fix out for you shortly!
Thanks for your patience and understanding. Let me know if you have any other questions.

ParticipantHi Perry,
We do have a program for non-profits that offers free copies of our plugins. You can find the details over at https://theeventscalendar.com/non-profits/.
Basically, you need to send an email to pro (at) tri.be with:
- Your organization name and url
- The name and email of the contact person for your organization, in case we need to get in touch
- Proof of your organization’s 501(c)3 status or your country’s equivalent
If you meet those criteria, we’ll get you set up right away!

ParticipantHey joe,
MY BAD! I read that wrong. Custom Attributes are included out of the box with the PRO plugin. They are essentially custom field types that are associated with each event and displayed on the event page.
As far as front end filters go, it would take customization to use the Custom Attributes as a filter. Event our upcoming Filter Bar plugin won’t allow you to do that without customization. But once it’s out, it could make those customizations simpler.
I apologize for my earlier response. I hope I’ve cleared up the confusion here. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

ParticipantHi mastafu,
Thanks for the heads-up! I’d like to try and duplicate this locally to verify it. Can you tell me which plugins you have installed and which versions they are? Do you have the Polish translations applied for all of them? If you could include a link to a screenshot too, that would be most helpful – especially if you could let me know what I’m looking at since I don’t speak Polish. 🙂
Sorry to have so many questions, but I want to make sure I understand this correctly. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

ParticipantHi Sean,
Hmmm… that’s very odd indeed. It appears to be a bug on our part. It’s been logged as such and is on our roadmap to get addressed.
I’m sorry that you’ve been bitten by this one. It should be fixed in one of our upcoming maintenance releases.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

ParticipantHi Sean,
Did you possibly get this resolved yourself? When I go to your website, it appears to be a static front page. And when I go to the /events/ page, that seems to be okay too.
Am I missing something?

ParticipantHi richbkk,
That’s some very odd behavior there. And it makes me think it might be a hosting issue. Have you tried setting your site up in a local environment? Does it do the same thing? If that’s not something you’re up to, you might want to contact your hosting provider to see if they have ideas on why you’re only able to access the section every few days.
Can you give those a try and let me know if it makes any difference?

ParticipantHi Dazed,
Thanks for the follow-up. Admittedly, it does sound like what you’re going for is a pretty specific feature set and our plugins won’t accomplish a lot of this out of the box. Based on this list it looks like our Community Events plugin (https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-community-events/) will handle allowing your users to submit front end events (#1) and view their own events on the backend (#11). But #2 and #3 would require additional customization. #4 is possible with the general The Events Calendar plugin, yes. But #s 5-9 are also not built in features at the moment.
To answer your question in #10: paying attendees and ticket buyers are ultimately the same thing.
And have you seen the New User Primer? (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/community-events-new-user-primer/) That might give you some information as well.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi joe,
If you want to dig into the code and customize it, you should be able to do what you’re asking – if I’m understanding it right. You can check out our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) for more details. I think you should be able to find what you’re looking for there.
If there’s anything else I can help you with, please ask!

ParticipantHi Steve,
The simple answer is no, it’s not designed to do that. It would most likely be possible to customize it to do something like that, but it would involve making changes to the code. I’m guessing that’s not what you’re looking for.
Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you. If there’s anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

ParticipantHi navgrief and Andrea too,
Since we’re dealing with license issues here, could I ask that you email your details to pro (at) tri.be? That way they’ll be better able to address your problems. Public forums are probably not the best place to do this.
Thanks for your cooperation. Sorry for the extra step.

ParticipantHi colewebdev,
Ah yes, multiple versions of jQuery. Glad you got it figured out.
And thanks for letting us know! I’ll close out this thread then.
