KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
As a first step, you’ll need to get the Google Maps API:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/
https://theeventscalendar.com/important-google-maps-api-changes/
If the map is still not showing up after you’ve gone through the configuration steps, I’d also recommend taking a look at this article.
If you’re still not able to get the map, can you please share your full system info with me, along with a link to an event where the map is missing and a screenshot of your venue settings for that event?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Kyla,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out.
As a first step, can you drop down to a default environment (all other plugins besides The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro disabled and the Twentyseventeen theme enabled) and see if you are still running into this issue? If not, then you’ll want to re-activate your theme and plugins individually to see when the issue reappears. Please make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled while testing and copy/paste any errors that you see into your reply.
Can you also share your full system info with me and send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing when you try to add a venue?
Finally, please also check for Javascript errors on the page by right-clicking, clicking “Inspect”, and looking in the console while you try to recreate the issue. If you see any errors, please copy/paste them into your reply.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue. Do you have a testing environment set up? If not, then I would recommend getting one set up – the free WP Staging plugin can help you create one if needed.
In this environment, can you re-enable the current versions:
The Events Calendar 4.6.21
Events Calendar Pro 4.4.30
WordPress 4.9.8
It’s possible that the current versions aren’t getting along well with something else on your site. To start, you’ll want to run through the steps outlined here to check for this.
You’ll also want to check for Javascript errors on the page by right-clicking, clicking “Inspect”, and looking in the console while you try to recreate the issue. If you see any errors, please copy/paste them into your reply.
Let me know what you find! If you can send me a link to your testing environment, please do so that I can test it out on my end.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Christian,
Thanks for reaching out! You can set a different default view for mobile under Events > Settings > Display (see screenshot). The calendar output by the tribe_events shortcode will use the views specified there for desktop and mobile. However, if you specify a view in the shortcode, this will be the view that is output both on desktop and mobile for that shortcode. There isn’t a way to set a different view for mobile using [tribe_events view=“week”].
If you have any other questions, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out! Can you tell me which ecommerce platform you’re using to sell tickets (Tribe Commerce, WooCommerce, or Easy Digital Downloads)? I believe the message should be displayed in the same location as the ticket form, but I will double check for you and if not, see what I can recommend!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Matt,
Thanks for reaching out! We have some snippets that you can use to change events page titles. Can you give this a try and let me know if it gets you what you need? We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations and integrations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to try to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
I would first recommend adjusting the “Default stylesheet used for events templates” and “Events template” settings under Events > Settings > Display. These affect how much events pages inherit their styling from the theme.
If this doesn’t get you what you’re looking for, then you can do a template override of the default-template.php file found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views. This is the wrapper that is used for all events views if ‘Default Events Template’ is selected in Events > Settings > Template > Events Template.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to try to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m glad that you were able to get this figured out! Did you make this change directly in the plugin files? If so, I would recommend doing a template override instead as any changes in the plugin files will be erased next time you update the plugin.
Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
Events Calendar Pro does come with shortcodes (for full calendar views as well as for widgets) that will let you put your events anywhere on your site that you can use shortcodes.
Unfortunately we are not able to do custom integrations like this, but our plugins typically work pretty well out-of-the-box with most standard themes. I would recommend installing the free version (The Events Calendar) to see how it will look on your site (there are some settings that you can adjust if you run into issues). If you need further assistance, we do have a list of recommended developers that you could contact for the integration.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Events Calendar Pro for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Earl,
Thanks for checking out Event Tickets Plus!
You can integrate with either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads to sell tickets. Each of those has its own payment processing options:
https://woocommerce.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/payment-gateways/
https://docs.easydigitaldownloads.com/article/861-payment-gateways
If you would prefer something simpler, Event Tickets will let you integrate directly with PayPal, and you can still use the additional features that come with Event Tickets Plus (collecting custom attendee data, QR codes, etc.) with those tickets.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Event Tickets Plus for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
You should be able to import the events from that link – I tested this out on my end and was able to do so (see screeshot). Is this not working the same way on your end? If not, what happens when you try to import from that link? Can you share your full system info with me?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Steven,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
Event Tickets Plus allows you to integrate with WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads to sell tickets, and users can purchase multiple tickets (for the same event or different events) with one checkout process. Event Tickets (free) will also allow you to sell tickets on your site via a direct integration with PayPal.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Event Tickets Plus for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that Events Calendar Pro isn’t working out for you! Our event import functionality is actually part of Event Aggregator, which is a separate service from the Events Calendar Pro plugin. However, you are correct that we are no longer able to import from Facebook due to changes in their API, which you can read more about here. It does still import from other sources like Google Calendar, iCalendar, Meetup, and Eventbrite.
I went ahead and processed the refund for Events Calendar Pro. If Event Aggregator sounds like it might help you out, we do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to take it for a test run!
Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.
Thanks,
Jennifer
