KeymasterHi Peggy,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
It does sound like your issues are related and stem from the same place.
Since you have been working on troubleshooting over there for a while, it would probably be best to keep it all over there for now.
I’ll leave this thread open for a bit, just in case you have any additional questions over here.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Matt,
I’m sorry to hear that did not work for you.
You can try using the following tutorial and snippet to change the string that you are looking to change:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Carolyn,
Glad to hear that some of the Facebook functionality is still working for you.
Yes, this issue is related to Facebook itself, rather than with our plugin, as you have seen with Timely having the same functionality.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterThanks for providing me with that information.
I’ll let you know when we have been able to resolve this issue on our end.
Let me know if anything else comes up!

KeymasterThanks for running through that testing here as well.
Would you mind providing me with an example of a location search that you are trying that is not working?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterThanks for giving that a try.
Can you go to Events Settings < General and see what you have under Number of events to show per page? It is the first setting there.
If it is something like 3, can you try increasing that number and see if that makes a difference?
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterGlad we could help, you are welcome back in our support forums any time!
Since you marked this thread as Resolved, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!

I’m sorry to hear that did not resolve your issue.
As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Adam,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have logged a bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.
I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Teresa,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I would recommend looking in the plugins folder in your FTP application. You can head over to the root directory for your WordPress installation and then go to /wp-content/plugins. Check to see you have the following two plugins installed:
- Event Tickets
- Event Tickets Plus
If they are there, and not showing up on your site, you may want to delete them from there and re-download them from your Downloads page via the manual updates process:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Peggy,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, can you tell me what you have set for Stock Handling under Events Settings < Tickets?
In addition, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Carolyn,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As you may know, Facebook recently announced a range of changes (https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2018/04/restricting-data-access/) to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) which are having an affect on a number of our users.
We are currently figuring things out as they continue to evolve with the Facebook Privacy Policy. For now, the best places to check in on the status of our plugin’s access to Facebook are https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/ and https://theeventscalendar.com/event-aggregator-status/.
The short version is that Facebook imports are not currently supported with Event Aggregator unfortunately. We are actively working on creating a new solution to adjust to this issue, although I cannot provide an ETA for if/when this will be resolved.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions on this issue!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Matt,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can create a redirect to a different URL after event submission, using the following plugin and tutorial:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/redirect-to-different-url-after-event-submission/
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime
