KeymasterHi Harish,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Brandon,
I’m sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue?
Would it be okay if I tried to create a log-in and a test event to see if I can replicate the behavior?
Also, were there any debug errors that appeared when you had it turned on? You can add the following to your wp-config.php file so that errors will not show up on your actual site:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);// Don't display errors on the front end, instead...
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
JaimeJaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Liz,
Thanks so much for going through all of that testing.
Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have logged a bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.
I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Andre,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
To address the issue with the name, what you are seeing there is expected behavior. The “Primary Information” field is populated by your Billing Information upon checkout. You can add an additional field of last name and require that information be filled out by users. You can add this information in the “Attendee Information” dropdown where you edit your ticket. That information will then show up in the “Details” column in your attendee information.
Other order details will not show up in the Attendee list by default unless you also add that information to your “Attendee Information” which can again be added where you add/edit your ticket.
To address your issue of whether payment has been completed, you can check the Orders tab and see the status of each of your orders.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Karen,
Although there is not an official shortcode to show past events, you can alter the date range in the shortcode, so that it shows past events, like this:
[tribe_events view=”month” date=”2018-04″]
Alternatively, you can also try The Events Calendar Shortcode plugin (which we are not affiliated with) in order to display past events as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

KeymasterHi Jennifer,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can set a Start Sale Date/Time for your RSVPs by going into your RSVP > expand Advanced tab and there you will see those options.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Unfortunately this is intended functionality, because when the event is no longer part of the series, it then receives its own URL, instead of being under the umbrella of the recurring event URL. Does that make sense?
You may be able to change this functionality with the assistance of a third-party plugin, but I cannot make any guarantees.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

KeymasterHi Karen,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
Once you have Events Calendar PRO, you can use the URL http://www.your-site.com/events/list/?tribe_event_display=past to display your past events.
You can also opt to use a shortcode to add a date range in that occurs in the past:

Let me know if you have any other questions!

KeymasterHi Andre,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
- Would you mind taking a screenshot of where you are seeing the name as a combination of the first and last name?
- Did you previously have this information on your export file?
- Can you try updating WooCommerce to the most recent version and then place a new test payment to see if that resolves that issue?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Filip,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
This is done in order to easily know that things are working properly in that department. It should not cause performance issues on your site however.
If you are concerned about performance issues, please have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/performance-considerations/
After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/
In addition, you can check out some of the solutions provided in this forum post:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/decreasing-loading-time-for-big-amount-of-events/
I would also recommend looking into some of the plugins in this blog post, as they may be able to help you pinpoint where site slowness may be occurring:

Let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance on this topic!

KeymasterHi Declan,
Okay, I understand. Sometimes, the imports don’t work exactly on schedule because of the way that WordPress schedules jobs like this, through something called cron.
To explain: WordPress supports a concept of scheduled events and they can be seen as a sort of regularly occurring background task (a piece of code that, theoretically, runs every 30 mins or at some other interval).
In relation to Event Aggregator, we make use of scheduled events to process imports — however, in the simplest and default case supported by WordPress, they actually are not guaranteed to run at the designated intervals.
If, for example, visitor traffic isn’t fairly constant then they may fail to run (or won’t be triggered often enough to process all the waiting tasks). There’s a pretty good description of this here:
http://www.lucasrolff.com/wordpress/why-wp-cron-sucks
It’s an external link and we don’t necessarily agree with the title of the post, but it does explain things pretty well besides covering a possible solution. Note that many shared web hosts (if that’s what you are using) provide notes in their respective knowledgebases that describes how to set up a ‘real’ cron job in a way that makes sense for their setup, so it could be worth researching that if you want to change how this operates.
Armed with that knowledge, does this sound like a viable hypothesis to you – or have you already configured things to use ‘real’ cron?
If you haven’t, it may be worth looking into this. If for any reason you can’t set up real cron tasks and need to rely on WordPress’s implementation, that would also be good to know.
What you can try is setting up a real cron job instead of the WordPress cron. Your hosting provider should be able to help you with this.
These articles might also be helpful:
- https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/setup-cron-job.htm
You can also explore how cron is working for you by installing a third-party plugin like WP Crontrol.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

Jaime

KeymasterHi Robin,
No problem, I totally understand. We can do that, just a heads up that this thread will self-close in three weeks with no activity, so if that happens, just open a new thread and reference this one.
Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
