KeymasterHi Brian,
Okay, it sounds like you are making some progress, which is great! I’m not sure why the import is coming in as 2019. Is the URL the same as the one linked to in an earlier thread? If not, can you please provide me with a link so that I can do some testing on my end?
And is anything unusual showing up in the Event Log under Events < Help?
Can you also check and/or include your debug log to see if any error messages are appearing?
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Daniel,
I wish I had some more concrete news for you, but unfortunately this bug is still being worked on and I don’t have a definitely timeline of when it will be resolved. It has been bumped up to a high priority bug and you will be notified as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Matthew,
It’s working on my test site. Would you be able to send me a link to where you are seeing this message, or least a screenshot? Perhaps I am looking at the wrong thing on my end.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Anthony,
Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
Here is a function that you may be interested and some more information about it:

You can also look through our functions archive here:

In addition, the following forum post contains a snippet that can disable JSON:

KeymasterHi Karen,
I’m sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue! Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.
So just to clarify, the issue is that when you reload a week view page with a specific week, you get a 404. I see this happening on your site, though I am unable to replicate the issue on my test site.
As we’ve previously determined, changing the slugs does allow the functionality to work properly, but you would rather not go this route.
Can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Also, can you update your WordPress version and Events Calendar related plugins to the most recent versions and see if the issue is still there?
I briefly mentioned this earlier, but what are you using to display the Previous and Next links both above and below the calendar? You may want to remove the customization and test without it.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Matt,
I truly apologize for any inconvenience that this migration has caused you and the site that you are working on. As you can see, when you try to upgrade from a very old version of a plugin to a new one, many things change and it can be difficult to migrate the data properly.
We unfortunately don’t have code to transform the old table into the new table. It may be a larger undertaking, but that depends on what you are up for doing.
With that being said, in my opinion, I would recommend using the new version of the plugin. You will undoubtedly run into issues again, even if you are able to resolve the issue that caused the need for the update in the first place.
I think either the option to use the old plugin as an “Event Archive” or to abandon it completely make a lot of sense and I can see the value in either. It may be easiest to just leave the old data the way that it is and start using the new plugin with the creation of new events.
Let me know your thoughts and please don’t hesitate to fire some more questions at me!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Joe,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
In the meantime, you may want to take a look at the following Knowledgebase articles:

Please let me know if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Cos,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
With Events Calendar PRO, you can create recurring events with any custom recurrence rule that suits your needs. What you are describing is definitely doable.
Feel free to check out our demo page here.
Please let me know if anything else comes up!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Rene,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
One option that you have is to add a filter to that shortcode, so that you will only display events in a certain category or tag. This way, you won’t have to display that recurring event that appears on every day (if you don’t want it to). You can read more about that process here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-calendar-widget/
If you are looking for something else, you can customize the Calendar Widget with the help of our Themer’s Guide. You will want to look at this template: /plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php

KeymasterHi Ryan,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues as a result of a conflict with Yoast SEO plugin. We are aware of some conflicts with Yoast SEO and we are always trying to work to make things play nice together.
Unfortunately, I don’t have an easy solution for you at this time. In order to troubleshoot, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Thanks,
Jaime
