    Hi Trey,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

With Community Events, you can definitely add in as many custom fields as you’d like.  Our products are highly customizable and our Themer’s Guide is a great jumping off point.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

You can also add Additional Fields right in the Events Settings on the backend that will show up on your Community Events submission form.

We also have a great 30-day full refund policy so if things really don’t work out for you, we’d be happy to give you a full refund.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first step, please have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/performance-considerations/

After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article:  https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/

In addition, you can check out some of the solutions provided in this forum post:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/decreasing-loading-time-for-big-amount-of-events/

I would also recommend looking into some of the plugins in this blog post, especially Query Monitor, as they may be able to help you pinpoint where site slowness may be occurring:

Let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance on this topic!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Single Event Template Stylesheet #1479253

    Hi Katherine,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

You can create a stylesheet and place it in the /tribe-events folder of your theme folder.  See our Themer’s Guide for further instruction on how to do that:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

You can remove the padding in a similar way, by adding that CSS to your custom tribe-events stylesheet.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for reaching out again!

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

    Thanks,

in reply to: List a number of events #1479245

    Hi Steven,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

You can use a shortcode to list events on your homepage, and use the main calendar on another page.  The main calendar uses the Events per Page setting, while the shortcode will not be affected by this.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Fellene,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just to clarify, in the scenario where you switched to ‘Twentyseventeen’ and/or deactivated all other plugins, did you see the expected behavior occur?

If so, this may point to a conflict between a plugin or theme and our plugin.

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Ticket availability #1479221

    Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Unfortunately recurring events are not supported by Event Tickets Plus, as stated on the Event Tickets Plus product page.

You can also vote on this idea in our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

    https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets

In the meantime, you can use the recurring events feature to populate your calendar, and then Break Event from Series to create separate tickets for each day of your event.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi John,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m not able to replicate this issue on my test site, so let’s try to troubleshoot your site.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Brett,

    That’s right, sorry about that.

We are currently working on a bug that involves a customer changing their RSVP from Not Going to Going, as that can exceed the original capacity of the RSVP.

Does this sounds like what may be occurring with you?  Can you check your RSVPs to see if that may be happening, which affects the numbers that you are seeing?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Rob,

Glad to hear that you are making some progress with this issue.  First off, I’d recommend creating a child theme for this customization so that your changes will not be lost when the theme needs to be updated.

Secondly, since this has turned out to be a theme conflict, that is beyond the scope of support that we can provide, as per our support policy.

If you do need further assistance with this issue, I’d recommend reaching out to your theme developers to see if they have any further advice.

Otherwise, if this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

Let me know if you have any further questions for me!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Chris,

Can you remove the Google Maps API from everywhere except for the mapping plug-in?

In addition, we have just released updates of our plugins, so please make sure that everything is up-to-date to ensure that things run optimally.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Ticket Sale Start Date Rounding Up So Can't See Tickets #1478999

    Hi Craig,

I tested this functionality earlier when I sent you my previous message, and things worked as I described, which is expected behavior.  It sounds like something may not be functioning properly on your site.

In that case, could you please provide us with your complete updated system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In addition, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see.

in reply to: Venue Address Importing Incorrectly – Google Calendar #1478989

    Hi Christopher,

Thanks for providing me with that information.  I’m not quite sure why that one venue is importing the wrong address.  Can you confirm that when you look at it in your Google Calendar, the address is correct?

In the meantime, since this is only occurring with one venue, the easiest solution would be to edit that venue address on your site, which will apply globally to all events located at that venue.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Brett,

One thing you can do is to alter the total_sales custom field on the WooCommerce Product page that is associated with the ticket that you are trying to edit.  You can change that number to reflect the actual number of attendees that you have, which will then change what you see in your Attendees tab.

You can also alter the ticket stock on the Edit Event page, where you edit your ticket.

Let me know if doing this helps to adjust the ticket stock to its proper function.

If not, can you try to create a fresh WordPress install with your current licenses and see if the same issue occurs there?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
