KeymasterHi Brett,
Yes, this may affect the RSVP numbers. Here is some more information in managing your attendees:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/#dl_attendee-list
One thing you can do is to set up a test event and change the status from going to not going from the backend, as you usually do. You can then see if that affects the way that the numbers appear.
Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime
March 15, 2018 at 11:18 am in reply to: First Day of a Recurring Event Showing Wrong Next Event Link at top. #1480389Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Fellene,
Great, thanks for that clarification.
Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.
Would you mind taking a screenshot of what the event looks like on the backend so that I can try to replicate the scenario on my end?
In addition, there are a number of mixed content error messages appearing in the console, so I would recommend installing and configuring a plugin, like this one, in order to resolve those errors.
Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Karen,
All of your current imports/settings should remain intact. Just to be safe, I would recommend creating a backup of your site to ensure that you have everything saved.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Nuno,
You can display past events with the [tribe_events date=”2015-01″] shortcode. You can set the date parameter to any date in the past, and all events from that time forward will be displayed.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime
March 15, 2018 at 4:58 am in reply to: Venue Address Importing Incorrectly – Google Calendar #1479861Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Christopher,
Thanks for that information.
Yes, it does seem that when Google populates the address based on the venue name, it gives the incorrect venue address.
Can you try manually adding in the venue address within the Google Calendar (if you have access to it) and see if that resolves the issue?
Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Mike,
With Query Monitor, you’ll want to look for any notices, warnings, anything that looks out of the ordinary. It will usually change colors when there is something of note there.
Can you check your debug log when you got the “white screen of death” and see what kind of conflict may have caused the issue?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

March 15, 2018 at 4:43 am in reply to: Community Events Submit Form is Really Slow & "Are You Sure You Want To Do This? #1479856Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Steve,
Thanks for that information. You mentioned that you have a lot of venues and organizers. One thing that you can do is to Merge Duplicates under Events Settings < General.
Also, are you customizing the REST API? It seems that the slow query you provided is not related to Community Events, but rather Event Aggregator.
Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Pat,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately there is no way to do this with Event Tickets Plus alone. You may be able to achieve this functionality with the addition of a third-party plugin however, although I don’t have any that I personally recommend.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Larry,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
With Community Events, users can add events right from the front-end of the site, which will then appear on the main calendar on your site.
You can choose whether to review these events first, or to have them published right away.
In order to add the events to multiple sites, you can use our Event Aggregator to import events into those sites.
You can also check out our plugins in action on our demo site.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime
March 14, 2018 at 11:13 am in reply to: Venue Address Importing Incorrectly – Google Calendar #1479305Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Christopher,
Okay, thanks for that information.
I was able to recreate that issue with that one particular venue that you pointed me to. Can you take a screenshot of what the event looks like in your Google Calendar, so that I can try to replicate the issue with my own Google Calendar and test site setup?
You can also change the Event Update Authority under Events Settings < Imports to Do not re-import events, or Import events, but preserve local changes, which should prevent this issue from happening each time your import occurs.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Roxanne,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can hide the words “Upcoming Events” by adding a bit of CSS to your WordPress Customizer or theme’s (or child theme’s) stylesheet. Try something like this:
h2.tribe-events-page-title {
display:none;
}You can remove the option to “show only the first upcoming instance of recurring event” by going to Events Settings < General, unchecking this option, and Save Changes.
Let me know if this helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Cody,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
When importing from ical, google, or facebook; the calendar doesn’t seem to pick up recurring events that have the same title but occur on different dates. This makes going into each one to set up the venue, photo, and organizer info, if not present from the import, very tedious. Is there a way to link these events together so by editing one it effects like manually created recurring events?
Each source handles recurring events differently. If you can provide me with one of the URLs where you are seeing this issue, I’d love to test things on my own site to get a better sense of what you are seeing.
When trying to manually set up a recurring event, I noticed I wasn’t able to schedule the recurring event for something like: occurs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. Is this possible or will I have to create two recurring events by the same name with one scheduled for the 1st Tuesday and the other scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday of every month?
You can try setting something up like the following, or you can create a custom recurrence rule to include the specific dates that your event occurs on:

Is there a way to block photos when importing events from Facebook as the images aren’t normally the same size or optimized for web?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to do this at this time. For now, you can import the image and then remove the image from the post.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Britta,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
Each Events Calendar PRO license can only be used for one site at a time. Alternatively, you can purchase a multi-site license that is Network Activated so that all of the sites on your network will have the plugin available.
With this scenario, you can add separate events from the backend for each site.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime
