KeymasterHi Jared,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, can you update all of you Events Calendar related plugins and see if that makes a difference?
If not, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Matt,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
If you’re using Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce as your e-commerce platform of choice, you can add on the WooCommerce Product Bundles extension to create bundles with your existing event tickets. However, bundles created through WooCommerce won’t display on your events with your standalone tickets–you’ll need to sell your tickets through your WooCommerce products page to properly take advantage of this functionality. You can learn more about how to do this on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/selling-tickets-from-the-woocommerce-products-page/
Tickets sold as part of WooCommerce bundles are the same as standalone tickets purchased individually, and users will need to use the correct single ticket for checking in to each event.
I hope that helps, let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Steve,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
This page is structured by WooCommerce, which is why it typically redirects to the Products Page. However, I did find a snippet that you may find useful for this purpose:

Let me know if that helps!

KeymasterHi Natsue,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can add a limit attribute to our Widget Shortcodes in order to limit the number of events displayed.
Something like this: [tribe_events_list category=”party” limit=”1″]
Here is more information about our shortcodes:

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

KeymasterHi Carolina,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
I’m not quite familiar with that plugin, however you are welcome to test things out and see if the compatibility is there.
We have a great 30-day full refund policy, so if things really don’t work out between the plugins, we’d be happy to refund you in full.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Cameron,
Welcome and thanks so much for reaching out!
Facebook recently announced a range of changes (https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2018/04/restricting-data-access/) to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) which are having an affect on a number of our users.
We are currently figuring things out as they continue to evolve with the Facebook Privacy Policy. For now, the best places to check in on the status of our plugin’s access to Facebook are https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/ and https://theeventscalendar.com/event-aggregator-status/.
If your imports are still working, I would keep things set up the way that you have them, however it is not usual for things to be out of whack for right now.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic, and also if you’d like to troubleshoot the iCal issue as well.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterGreat, thank you. Let me know if you need anything else!

KeymasterHi Vladmir,
Can you send me a link to the Facebook page you are referring to?
Do you have the page set to Public, rather than Private?
Are you about to import your own public events?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Russell,
I understand where you’re coming from. It is difficult for us to help out without knowing what things look like with a bare install on your end.
Another option would be for you to install the third-party plugin, Health Check, which can mimic a bare WordPress install while your site visitors still see your site the way that it normally appears.
Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Paul,
If you export your events to CSV, you should be able to correct the errors in the CSV and then import the CSV back onto your site. The link that I provided you with above can give you some examples of how to set things up there. Before doing anything, I’d recommend creating a backup of your site, just to be safe.
Unfortunately, this issue is not considered a bug because I cannot replicate the issue at this time. It seems to be an isolated case for now, so I will not be taking further action as far as considering this a bug.
Let me know how things go and if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Liesel,
The order in which you edit events should not have any impact on the order of the events themselves. I have tried this same scenario on my own site, and was unable to replicate the issue that you are seeing.
The only things that could affect this order is if you edited only the one event and/or broke the event from the series, instead of editing the whole series. Let me know if this scenario is what you are doing.
I am also seeing a number of errors occurring on your site. At this point, I would recommend running through the testing for conflicts procedures that I detailed above.
Another option would be for you to install the third-party plugin, Health Check, which can mimic a bare WordPress install while your site visitors still see your site the way that it normally appears.

KeymasterHi Tony,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
Can you update your Events Calendar related plugins and test if this issue still occurs?
If it does, can you take a screenshot of the events that seem to be linked, so that I can try to replicate things on my end?
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Grégoire,
🙂 I did know that actually, thanks!
Once we determine if a plugin, theme, or customization conflict is the issue, then we should be able to get everything back to normal.
Let me know how the testing goes, and let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Chris,
Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.
For the shortcode issue, does this issue resolve if you update the plugin back to the most recent version?
Also, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

In the meantime, here is our knowledgeable article on how import limits work:

Let me know how that goes!
