ParticipantHey Craig,
A license is not required for installing the plugin, nor using it either. A license simply signs up a website for automatic updates and for support; the plugins work totally fine with no license. Does this help clarify things? Apologies for not being clear about this in prior responses.
As for a discount, unfortunately none are available at this time π
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantNot at this time, unfortunately π
I will close up this thread for now because this is not a bug that we’ll be able to address before Halloween like previously hoped for, and in fact this may take quite some time to truly improve.
I’m sorry @Nicholas!
George
ParticipantThank you for clarifying that β I’m really sorry to keep dragging this on, but can you link me directly to the page on your site where I can see this in person? The CSS I originally recommended achieves this effect for me on my test site; but perhaps there are some additional rules I need to address with my CSS specific to your theme or in relation to CSS from other plugins, et cetera.
Thanks a ton for your patience!

ParticipantHey @kiki,
I’m sorry to hear that but am happy to help with the refund. To go about that, however, we won’t be able to over the forums; please email [email protected] with a copy of your original order receipt attached. We will initiate the refund from there π
Thank you for giving our software a try to begin with!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThe methods for accessing and customizing the components of the events template are all described in-depth in the Themer’s Guide βΒ if you’re curious about the specific role of each file in src/views in your Events Calendar plugin files, then for example the main default-template.php file there is probably the best place to start for your needs.
If you have the “Events template” option in your wp-admin set to “Default events template”, this is the template file that will be loaded; so code-specific customizations can start here.
I’ll close up this thread for now since we’re not able to help with those customizations, but I wish you the best of luck with your custom code βΒ be sure to keep good backups of all custom code you write to minimize the risk of losing it!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantI really appreciate your patience and all of the information you’ve provided here βΒ it seems like there is, in fact, a bug π
There’s unfortunately nothing we can do in terms of a code-level fix for this for now βΒ not until the next update of the plugin at the earliest. But stay tuned to such updates, if we are able to get a fix in place it will be noted in the release notes…
If you’re able to test this, one more confirmation of things might be helpful here: namely that if you take a look at your site, does simply turning off just the Jetpack Sharing module resolve things? So that, in other words, Jetpack is activated and all that; but the sharing module specifically is not. How do things behave in this configuration?
Thanks!

ParticipantGlad to hear it! Thanks for the update @ckas βΒ if spam creeps up again, pursue the other methods I recommended above and those should help too.

ParticipantThank you for updating us on that, @Robin! If issues do ever arise again, let us know in a new thread and try out Brian’s recommended steps for now.
Thank you for your patience while we fix the bug in our code itself; in the meantime, hopefully Brian’s solution helps for anyone facing similar issues.
I’ll close up this thread for now.
Cheers,

ParticipantThanks for the update @Fernando, I’m glad progress has been made here.
Best of luck with the rest of your site.

ParticipantWeird! That “edit CSS” feature sounds like perhaps a theme-specific one.
I’m glad you got things working regardless of that feature not working as expected π
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantAwesome! Thanks for updating here.
