ParticipantHi, we’re having an issue with events over populating. We’ve set our parameters to only populate events 2 months into the future and to discard after 1 month. Yet somehow there are events with over 10,000! entries.
We need to delete these events entirely. WE are unable to access the “edit all” screen. Usually the site crashes. Everything is moving very sllooooooooowwwwww.
Is there a way to at least display more than twenty events so that we can manually delete them?

ParticipantHey @Kyle,
Really sorry to hear about so many events being generated…that does not sound right…
For starters, can you head to the “edit-event” screen for one of these events with thousands of entries? Once there, take a screenshot of the event info – the start time, end time, recurrence information, etc. – and then upload this screenshot or screenshots plural to Imgur.com. I’m just curious about how things are configured!
Next, can you share your system information with us as described here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Finally, deletion itself: there is unfortunately not a great way for deleting lots of things fast within WordPress’ default UI – there are, however, bulk-deletion plugins out there that are meant just for stuff like this. I don’t have a specific one to recommend by name, but there are fortunately many out there; Google around a bit and I’m sure you’ll find a good one. Here’s one with high ratings, for example, which might work well for you on your site → https://wordpress.org/plugins/bulk-delete/
Cheers!

ParticipantHey @Fernando,
I understand your apprehension about adding yet another plugin.
With this in mind, then, you can increase the number of events on the page for manual deletion by using the “Screen options” tab in the top-right of your wp-admin screen. Here’s a screenshot of this: https://cloudup.com/cnGjzND24hy
I hope this helps!

ParticipantThanks for the screen shot. I had been searching for that screen option. I had to click a very tiny gray space in order to access it. if it wasn’t for your screen shot, i would not have known it was there.
anyway, I was able to get some help from a programmer who deleted the overpopulating events from our database.

ParticipantThanks for the update @Fernando, I’m glad progress has been made here.
Best of luck with the rest of your site.
Cheers,
