ParticipantHey @Lamourah,
There is a section in the Recurrence Info called “Exclusions” that should allow you to “skip” or “hide” an event happening on a given date, or schedule, etc.
You can read more about this in the “Exclusions” section of this article β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
I hope that helps!

ParticipantHey Jeff,
Apologies for the delayed reply here!
1. You mention this in your post:
I have comments enabled on the events plugin
How, specifically, did you enable comments?
2. Do non-Disqus comments, i.e. the normal “built-in” WordPress comments work fine? (testing this will require deactivating Disqus, but just temporarily!)
3. Can you share your “System Information” with us? Here’s how β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Nicole,
I’m not quite sure what features you’re referring to. It sounds like this is a feature of the Eventica Theme itself βΒ I would recommend contacting the Eventica support team about this if you haven’t already.
Let me know if you do so, or if you can elaborate a bit more on what you are referring to.
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Jan,
Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean here, exactly?
I don’t quite understand your question, and am sorry about that! But I just want to be 100% certain I know what you’re asking so that I can best help you out π
Provide any details or examples you can, if possible.
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Suzie,
It’s a big task indeed, but we’ve got updates rolling out soon that should enable it. Stay tuned to plugin updates! π
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @mike,
I unfortunately cannot log into your site, and also cannot see the Community Events submission page because it is behind a membership upgrade.
That may be part of the problem; I know you said you already did testing for conflicts, but I would recommend deactivating all plugins except for The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar: Community Events.
Let me know when your site is in this state; I will take a look at the Community Events submissions page to see if there are any JavaScript errors and et cetera.
Next, please also share your system information as described here β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!

ParticipantThank your for your patience with this, @docfx. I’m very sorry about the implications of this error; we’re investigating!

ParticipantHey Ajay,
Still George here π For help with getting a refund, please email [email protected] with a copy of your original order receipt (which should have your “Order Number” featured prominently in the header) and the fact that you want a refund.
This will be a tricky one because we can only process refunds within 30 days of purchase; but depending on the payment option you chose at checkout, we can work with that payment processor to try and get a refund issued anyways. There’s a slight amount of wiggle-room some of the time depending on the payment processor and such, so we’ll work with you and do our best over email there.
Thanks for your patience with this Ajay!

ParticipantHey @Liam,
That’s an essential line of code for the custom WP_Query calls our widget uses, so I’m a bit confused why it worked here, but again, at core this seems to be a problem stemming from the bad code that makes up the “Visual Composer”. If removing this line of code makes things work for you, then that’s a good thing and I hope you’re able to continue with your site without issue.
However, issues will likely arise again, and if they stem from Visual Compose or your theme then we will do our best to help but ultimately there may be a conflict that only the Visual Composer team themselves can truly help with π
Best of luck with your site,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for your patience! π

ParticipantHey Leanne,
Thank you for the elaboration here βΒ it seems like you essentially just want the Disco Events to only display in Month View, but not any other calendar Views, is that correct?
If this is what you mean, there’s unfortunately no way to do this without writing custom code βΒ are you interested in doing that? We do not technically offer any support for custom code, so while we can share some code as a code, we cannot help implement it on your site, and you would have to take the reins on maintaining the code and refining it if you want it to do more things than what it does by default.
Cheers!

ParticipantHow can we set this so you are not searching just in the current or a specific month?
Hey @clarity, I’m sorry to bear this news but there is unfortunately no straightforward way to set this; at this time, altering this functionality would take some extensive code customization deep in the workings of the plugins π
We cannot help with customizations so unfortunately, at this time the best options are to customize the code directly on your own if you’re familiar with that, or to hire a professional to help make the customizations if you’re not.
I’m sorry about this, @Clarity!
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

ParticipantHey Andres!
Neither The Events Calendar or any of its add-ons are in the official WordPress VIP plugin catalog, so it cannot be used on WordPress VIP at this time.
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for sharing all of this information!
You mentioned plugin updates, and looking through this information I indeed see that all of your versions of The Events Calendar and add-ons for The Events Calendar are out of date. WordPress itself is out of date, too.
I would recommend updating both WordPress itself (current version is 4.3.1), and then also updating your version of The Events Calendar and your add-ons for it (Events Calendar Pro, Filterbar) to their most recent versions too.
The Events Calendar’s most recent version can be found here βΒ https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
For your premium add-ons, head to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads to find files for the latest versions.
Nothing can really be done from a support standpoint until these updates are made, so they are essential β I’m sorry that you cannot act upon these updates until the weekend, but unfortunately updating is the most important step at this point.
Sincerely,
George -
