    Hi @Jskk123,

    The image import issue is indeed a known issue and a bug is forthcoming, hopefully this week or next.


    In regards to the error messaging/scheduled import issues, when I try importing the Facebook event URL you posted I get an error to begin with, as shown here (click for a larger-sized image):

    I do not find this with other Facebook events and so am working with developers on our team to investigate this. Please stay tuned for more information — I will post again soon.

    Thanks for doing that Stanley, I can confirm that I am seeing your system information and have read through it — nothing stands out as outright problematic or concerning, and it looks like your software is up-to-date which is great.

    When it comes to your issues importing those files, I want to be clear that I am working with a developer on our team to investigate your ICS file and potential reasons why it might be behaving like you find.

    One thing that will be very helpful for us in this investigation is to see what you find if you do the following steps:

    1. Download the test ICS file I have uploaded here (there’s a “Download” link in the top-right corner of the window when you open this link, just click that 🙂 ) ? https://cloudup.com/cWqqssYwIXO

    2. Do a test import of this file on your site. Be sure to use the ICS File import type, and to set the Date parameter in the import screen’s “Refine” section to February 1, 2017. Here is a screenshot of the exact configuration you should use for this test import (click for a larger-sized image):

    ☝️ Note the “Events on or after 2017-02-01” text in gray in the screenshot above; make sure your import screen shows this text which will confirm you’ve set it up right!

    3. You do not have to actually import these events, but please confirm how many events come up in the “Preview” screen. Does it say “Showing 1 to 5 of 10 entries”, for example? Or different numbers? Let me know exactly what you find.

    This step should be very helpful.

    Hey folks,

    As promised any news about the state of this issue will be posted here for all to read! 😀

    There has not been a post here, and so there has been no news worth posting about.

    In other words, the bug fix is still in progress.

    We just released a Maintenance Release, version 4.4.2, that included a number of fixes. This image-related bug was not included in that release.

    However, we are working hard on the next Maintenance Release, version 4.4.3, and are hoping to include a fix for the image-related bug here with that release.

    I don’t have a specific ETA for that release yet, but it could come as early as Monday/Tuesday next week.

    I am sincerely sorry for the trouble.

    If you have issues/questions that relate to things other than the Facebook image import bug reported in this thread, please open a new and separate thread of your own.

    Thanks for the screenshot Mark. This confirms that what you are seeing is actually something resulting from how our plugins are designed to tally orders and attendees.

    You are not alone in being disappointed by this. We have a number of customers requesting different handling of deleted orders/tickets, which you can see here on our UserVoice page ? https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/15012864-do-not-include-deleted-tickets-or-cancelled-orders

    There are two main things I can think of sharing here:

    1. First, a temporary workaround to restore the ticket accounts after you deleted your orders is this: Just delete the tickets themselves in the wp-admin edit screen for the event they’re associated with. If you don’t have any “real” orders of these tickets yet, this should not create any problems. Just delete the ticket type from the event, “Update” it, then after the page refreshes, create a “new” ticket which is just the same ticket again but it will not have any attendee records attached to it.

    2. Many users share your opinion on this and our Strategy team has been working on this for a while. There is an active project within our team to decide on exactly how to handle this counting of deleted orders/attendees more effectively for customers, and it is likely that some product changes will arise from this initiative.

    There is no specific news at this time—no specific launch date for changes, or even confirmed changes, etc.

    However, I will add your thread here to the list of threads of folks reporting dissatisfaction with this aspect of our plugins, and even if it’s many months from now, long after this thread is “closed” to new replies, I will post any relevant news of updates in our software that address this.

    I am sorry to bear the news that there is not much to be done for now, but I hope this information is helpful nonetheless. Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

    Hi Russell,

    Just to be clear, do you mean that you had your site in the state where every plugin other than these were deactivated:
    • The Events Calendar
    • Event Tickets
    • Event Tickets Plus
    • WooCommerce

    And a default theme like Twenty Twelve or Twenty Seventeen was activated on your site?

    ↑ And once your site was in this state, you created a NEW test event with NEW test tickets and had the same result?

    If so, please share a link to this event on the front-end of your site, and please post screenshots of its ticket stock issues in the wp-admin.

    I totally understand how you want to resolve this issue, and it’s my goal to help do just that. At this time, I cannot recreate your stock issues, and so the testing I recommended above is the best step I can think of that would help move us forward towards resolving these problems.

    This is a cool feature idea—unfortunately there is no out-of-the-box way to do this with our plugins, nor any existing plugin or custom code snippet I’m aware of that would enable this feature as you describe it.

    The features you describe are technically possible, though, so to implement them, you could write custom code yourself or hire a professional developer to do it for you.     1) Can I duplicate an event once I’ve filled in the information for the first one?

    No, our plugins do not provide a “duplication” feature; each event must be manually filled out.


    2) Once I have created 25 events of the same show (with the same description, the same images, the same title etc) but with different times and dates, is it possible to modify all of them together if I need to change some information?
    Let’s say, the title changes slitely. Is it possible to select them and to aply a change to all of them?

    If you have a recurring event, you can change the first event and update the whole series of events. (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/)

    But for anything that is not a recurring event, no, you cannot do this.


    3) In a theatre season we might have 10 different productions (plays). Each of them will be scheduled for 20 events.
    Is it possible to configure the event calendar to show (filter) in frontend the list of all events of a single production?

    Yes, you can do this with Events Calendar Pro’s recurring events feature: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/


    I would like to have the possibility to prebook tickets to be payed at the theatre at pickup and to have a booking and payment service with online payment as well.
    I would like to implement special online offers to sell online cheaper than at the box office of the theater.

    4) Is it possibile to have booking and shoping simultaniously?

    Our ticketing plugins do not come with out-of-the-box support for “pre-booking” or anything like that.

    As for selling special discounts, you can do this with WooCommerce itself, using WooCommerce’s “Coupon Codes” feature. Learn more here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/coupon-management/


    5) I would like to treat custumer differently. Those that are only prebooking tickets without payment online should not have access to the online ticket prices. Is it possible configure the ticket ordering process clearly in this matter?

    This is not something our plugins support.


    6) Am I obliged to fill in start and end date / time for each single ticket fare?

    No, but if you leave those fields blank, it will be automatically set to the start/end times of the event itself.


    Is it possible to generate an internet site in two or more languages? What kind of language plugin is compartible with the event calendar?

    WPML is compatible with The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro to generate multilingual sites, however our ticketing plugins currently do not support WPML or any other multilingual plugin at this time.


    Is the single licence fee an annual fee or is it one shot only?

    Licenses are an annual fee that must be renewed every year.

    There is unfortunately no “out of the box” way to add the extra details you describe to the generated listing. It is technically possible, but woul unfortunately require writing custom code to implement.

    We cannot help with custom coding, as elaborated upon here.

    So to implement the features you describe, you would have to write that custom code yourself or hire a professional developer to do it for you.     Sorry to here this Josiah!

    Do any errors pop up on your site if you head to your site’s wp-config.php file and change this line of code:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);

    to this:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    That will display PHP errors if any exist, which might be quite useful here.

    So make this change to that file, then try activating The Events Calendar again. If any errors do pop up, please copy the full text of the errors and paste it here.

    The only “out of the box” way our plugins would be able to help with associating “custom data” like this to events would be with Events Calendar Pro’s “Additional Fields” feature.
