ParticipantThanks for your patience with all of this, @david – I have used all of the information here to test thoroughly and can unfortunately confirm that there IS a bug here within The Events Calendar.
I’m sorry to bear that news! The “good” news [relatively] is that I’ve made a bug ticket for this issue and so in the coming releases we can patch this up. I do not have an ETA on when such a fix would arrive, unfortunately, but the bug is now known and logged in our system and we try to put out maintenance releases to fix bugs roughly every month or so.
Thank you for reporting this bug to us. I’m sorry that we don’t have an immediate fix for this but we’re working hard on some releases to kick off 2016 well, and so hopefully this and a number of other bugs are patched up before Winter even starts becoming Spring.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Josh,
It’s indeed a bummer that there’s not more specific integration between both plugins – however, both do indeed work well alongside each other, and with Gravity Forms a little bit of custom coding can go a long way.
I’ll close up this thread for now, but before doing so would like to share one last thing that might be helpful – here’s a list of customizers that are highly-rated in the community: http://m.tri.be/18k1. If you’re ever on the hunt for good professional help, that list is a great place to start!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantGlad to hear it, @Graphic! Thanks for the update 🙂 I’ll close up this thread for now, then, but don’t hesitate to open a new thread any time if other issues arise.
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantPhil, thank you for these kind words despite there being an annoying bug hindering the use of our plugins – I really appreciate those sentiments and am happy to say that I’ve done the following:
• Tested and recreated this bug
• Logged it in our development trackerI unfortunately do not think this will make it into the next release, which we’re aiming to get out the door by – tentatively – something like January 20. Again, this is just a tentative goal and very much subject to change (especially as we get back into gear after the holidays and such).
I looked through other tickets and we just unfortunately have a lot of other bugs and things in this release that are already actively underway 🙁
However, this bug is a pretty substantial one so it will be getting developer attention for sure. I’d say by the end of February, maybe, you could reasonably expect this to be fixed. Perhaps sooner, perhaps even a bit later, but just trying to give a rough estimate if it’s helpful.
I hope it is – and I hope that, for now, you’re able to use the “US” style date picker format without issue. I’m really sorry about this bug! But thanks to you, we’ve indeed identified the bug now and have a fix coming for it soon.
Thanks Phil!

ParticipantGlad to hear some progress has been made here – as for the remaining issues:
I still am not seeing the venue in the Upcoming Event and on the event page in the box on the upper left
Can you share two links as follows:
1. First, share a link to where you are referring to when you say “the Upcoming Event”.
2. Next, share a link to the event page where there’s the “box in the upper left”.
I’ll take a look at these specific pages and see if I can learn anything that way.
Thanks for your patience with this! 😀
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for sharing all of this – if things work now, I’m afraid to admit that I don’t know what further steps can be taken here. The original appearance of the issue is one I don’t know the origins of, unfortunately, and cannot recreate on my own testing site 🙁

As for the incorrect path in our article, great catch – thanks for sharing this! I’ve just fixed that.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @Chris,
If you’re not certain how those events were generated, it’s unfortunately hard for us to assume how they were added, but it was most likely indeed a widget.
However, in your system information I noticed that Events Calendar Pro is not installed and activated on your site! Only The Events Calendar is.
So, I would recommend installing Events Calendar Pro anew on your site. You can get the files here → http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Install, activate, and enter your license key on the site.
Then, head to Appearance > Widgets and drag over the “Events List Widget” where appropriate in your sidebars. Check out this article to learn about the available widgets and what they do → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/events-calendar-widgets/
I hope this all helps! 😀
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantWhen i set the rights of the events-calendar-pro plugin folder to 775, the recurrence works correctly.
I think that there is a issue with the rights of the “the-events-calendar” and “events-calendar-pro” plugin folders. Can you confirm that this is the issue?
Hey @amazing, thank you for sharing this information! Permissions issues can indeed be the problem here.
I would recommend contacting your web host with more assistance – you will want to make sure that your WordPress site’s directories and all of their contents, specifically the /wp-content/ directory, are set to something like 755 recursively, and owned by the webserver.
This is a base requirement for proper WordPress plugin and theme functionality.
Let me know if this helps at all!

ParticipantNice! No worries at all about asking 🙂
I’ll close up this thread for now, but come back and open a new thread any time if other questions/comments/concerns arise.

ParticipantHey @Websource,
Thanks for sharing the new link. I found an example event here → http://test.ferienspass.li/wordpress/event/test2/
To fix the stock display, you would need to add custom CSS on your site to adjust the width of the stock display. You can do that by adding CSS like the following to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file:
.tribe-events-tickets td.edd {
width: 20% !important;
}
Play around with the value – try 30% instead of 20%, for example, and just play around until you find the right width.
We cannot help with customizations, so you will have to take the reins on this from here, but I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Clémence,
So when we entered places, if we don’t add lat/long values, only the google map in the single event works, not the search and the map view. If we add lat/long values, it’s ok. Maybe, the lat/long values should be mandatory ? Because it’s confused and gives the impression of a bug.
This is indeed the behavior of the plugin at this time – latitude and longitude are only required for map placement in the Map View, but you are right, we could probably do a better job of making this clear within the admin of the plugin.
This is not something that we can change immediately, for example, but I will raise these concerns and hopefully over time we can see some improvement of this UI. Stay tuned to plugin releases and to http://theeventscalendar.com/blog to see when updates come out, and what is included in the updates. If there’s anything to help with the Map View and latitude/longitude requirements, it will be noted there.

Another question ? How we can add a button to reset the search bar for users ?
There is a “Reset Filters” link in the filter bar by default – do you not see this on your site? If so, I would recommend trying to make your site publicly visible temporarily, and then share a link directly to where we can see the filter bar and this lack of the “reset filters” link.
If you mean something other than our Filter Bar, can you share a screenshot of where you mean? You can do so by uploading the screenshot to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Clemence,
I removed the login information you posted as soon as I saw it. As I stated in my reply above, we cannot log into user sites for any reason whatsoever. Please do not post log information anywhere here, elsewhere online, etc. – it’s a security risk!
I will address your other questions next but just wanted to posted this now, because I just saw your login information and removed it from our site.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey David,
Changing the mobile breakpoint works fine in terms of getting the “Mobile View” to display instead of the “full view”.
However, the issue is just the when you set up the Mobile View, the events are not clickable.
1. Is this an accurate summary of the issues? If not, please clarify what the specific problem is, exactly.
2. When you removed the code from your theme’s functions.php file that alters the breakpoint, did the events become clickable again when you downsized your browser to view the “default” Mobile View”? Or are events NOT clickable in the Mobile View even when you have no custom code whatsoever?
Please address questions #1 and #2 in the order they appear and simply – I know that this sort of support process can be tedious at times, but changing the mobile breakpoint works fine for me, so I am just trying to isolate the source of the problem on your site for now.
We can address other comments and concerns in due time, but for now let me know what you think about these two specific questions. I’ll do some more investigation based on your responses and go from there.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Andrew,
Okay, so the first thing worth mentioning is that NO, you do NOT need The Events Calendar on your site if you only need tickets, but not events.
If you need Events, AND need tickets to sell for those events, then you DO need The Events Calendar.
Is that clear? Apologies for not clarifying that earlier on!
—
As for basic use of the plugin, you mention questions like this: “How can I add a product but sell it as a ticket?”
For questions like this, I would recommend reading the New User Primer for Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus, which can be found here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/
That’s a short article by itself, but it includes many links to many other helpful articles about how to use both plugins, and these other links are the ones I think will be most helpful – so read the Primer, and click the various links to check out more specific articles for anything along the way that you would like more information on.
—
Next, you shared admin login information, which I removed as soon as I saw it posted here. We cannot log into user sites for any reason whatsoever.
—
Finally, you shared a link to an item on CodeCanyon – to be clear, we cannot help you build out the actual site and various components, design elements, custom code, and so on. I’m sorry if that’s a bummer – but we’re only here for technical support. If you’re interested in help with building a custom page of some kind, I can definitely help direct you to resources online where you can work towards that, but I cannot help with building out that aspect of your site (or any aspect) myself.
I hope all of this information is both helpful, and clarifies the role of these support forums. Please give all of this a read and let me know what you think!

P.S.
One last thing to touch on is your comment about needing this to be done by the end of the week – to be clear, you posted that comment on January 2, when we were still out for the holidays. We’re just coming back in full service today (January 4), so thanks for your patience with the delayed responses over the holidays. Now that things are “normal” again, we aim to respond to threads within 24 hours.
Cheers!
George
ParticipantSounds good @websource – I’ll close up this thread for now, but wish you the best of luck with your project!
