ParticipantHi Diane,
We unfortunately are not able to help with custom code and with general site design questions. 🙁
That being said, if you can share a link to where this is actually happening so that I can see it firsthand, I will do my best to recommend a fix!
Cheers,
GeorgeApril 27, 2016 at 7:45 pm in reply to: Attempting to add content inside loop.php for map view #1108040George
ParticipantHey Joanna,
Thanks for reaching out. The features you are trying to implement are possible, but would unfortunately require many code customizations to implement 🙁
So to implement the features you describe, you would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
I will close this thread for now because we cannot help with customizations. Please read this page to learn about what types of questions we can address → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Best of luck with your customizations,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSorry to hear this, @Roxanne!
We do not make that plugin, so if its email notifications aren’t working I would recommend reaching out to the author of that plugin for assistance.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @pgleleux,
Thanks for reaching out!
The only calendar on that site I could find was this one → http://logoncafe.net/on-stage/calendar
I could not find an RSS or .ics feed there; the site might not even provide one, so your best bet here is to reach out to the site owners directly and see what iCal/feed resources they provide.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThank you for clarifying these details!
1. If possible, can you share the links to the Facebook Pages that you are trying to import from?
2. Are there any pages that DO import fine? Or do all imports fail no matter what?
3. I noticed that you’re using Community Events version 4.0.2 on your site—I doubt this is a factor here, but just to be certain, can you ensure that you update to the most recent version, which is currently 4.1?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Reid!
Events Tickets Plus is the replacement for The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets. WooCommerce Tickets is now a defunct, no-longer-maintained, legacy plugin.
You can choose to use it if you want; and if there are any fatal security flaws revealed in the plugin, then we might publish releases to patch those huge hypothetical security holes. But it does not have many features and will not have such features added to it.
One such feature is indeed Global Stock. 🙁
If it seems daunting to move from WooCommerce Tickets to Event Tickets Plus, I can assure you that it is a much more straightforward and simple process than it might seem. We have a comprehensive guide here that I urge you to read and follow → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/
As a WooCommerce Tickets license-holder, by the way, Event Tickets Plus was added to your account for free when it first launched. So you have the files for Event Tickets Plus here and a license key for it here.
I hope this helps—keep me posted on any further questions that might arise here!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHi,
You said this in your first reply:
I’ve purchased the woocommerce deposits plugin but it’s not showing up and I’m being told that….
1. What do you mean that the plugin is not showing up? The plugin is not showing up in your admin “Plugins” page? Or do you mean a specific feature of the plugin is not showing up on the front end of your site? If so, which feature? And where on the front end does it not show up where you want it to?
2. You have two plugins that we do not make that you are asking us to link together via our own plugin. I am happy to help with this to the best of my abilities and within the confines of our support policy, but please keep the nature of this issue in mind. The moral of the story is that you are essentially asking for a customization. Please see this page to see what sorts of support questions we can and cannot help with → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
If you can provide the details I requested in Question #1 here I will happily try to tie together these three plugins (Deposits, WooCommerce itself, and our ticketing plugins).

ParticipantHey Michael,
Thanks for the followup. I’m not sure exactly what thing about the organizers you are trying to modify, but it will indeed take some tinkering, experimentation, and perhaps the hiring of a professional developer to assist you.
While I won’t be able to help with your customization beyond this reply, I would like to suggest one last thing—try specifying the Event ID in your tribe_get_organizer() call.
So, instead of this:
echo tribe_get_organizer();Try this:
echo tribe_get_organizer( $event->ID );You’ll have to take the reins from here; but I hope this helps!

ParticipantThank you for the updates, Angela. This seems to be the status of the issue, to the best of my knowledge:
1. I cannot recreate your issues.
2. We have no reports of any similar issues.
3. The issues go away in the Twenty Sixteen theme.
4. You’re able to fix some of the issues with a specific, idiosyncratic customization. So, with all of these points in mind, it is clear to me that the issue is not arising from within our plugin code ourselves; your theme and/or some combination of other factors arising from the level of the server are breaking things.
These facts mean that there is little we can do here because we do not make your theme and do not make your sever.
From here, if you would like to get a refund you can definitely do this if your purchase was made in the last thirty days. Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
Aside from a refund, though, there are no moves on the board for us and so you’d have to take the reins on this issue from here. 🙁
I’m sorry to bear this disappointing news but just wanted to describe the current situation and be frank about our ability to help with this theme/server-caused issue.
Thank you for your patience and persistence in this thread.
Sincerely,
GeorgeApril 27, 2016 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Options between Events Calendar Pro and Community Events #1108020George
ParticipantHey Phillip,
Thanks for reaching out!
If you scroll down a bit on this page, you will see a side-by-side comparison of what features come with the Core plugin, The Events Calendar, compared to what features come with Events Calendar Pro.
Now, to be clear, you do not choose the free version “OR” the Pro version. The Core plugin is The Events Calendar—it must always remain active! Plugins like Events Calendar Pro and Community Events are add-on plugins that add-on to that main core plugin. So to use Events Calendar Pro, you install The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro. You then add Community Events if you want.
As far as Community Events itself, it does not offer anything that is in Events Calendar Pro. It also does not offer anything in The Events Calendar.
Community Events simply adds a front-end submission form for events. That is all.
I hope this information helps!
GeorgeApril 27, 2016 at 6:24 pm in reply to: How to develop recurring events with limited seating for each individual event? #1108017George
ParticipantHey Somer,
Thanks for reaching out!
This is unfortunately not possible at this time:
We need a way to develop recurring events with limited seating for each individual event.
I’m sorry to disappoint. 🙁
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for reaching out, @Victor.
Can you share what your site’s Permalinks settings are? These are literally located in “Settings → Permalinks” in your wp-admin. Are they /%postname%/, for example?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Teubl,
Thanks for clarifying some things here.
When it comes to adding various locations to an event, this is unfortunately just not possible without a significant customization of the Venues post type and how they relate to events.
When it comes to displaying past events, however, I am sorry that I did not understand this question earlier. This is definitely possible and I would recommend using the function tribe_get_events() to get a list of past events. You can add parameters like event category and all sorts of stuff. Learn more here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey André,
Sorry to hear about these issues!
1. Can you confirm whether manual imports work or not?
2. As for the scheduled imports—how much traffic does your website get? Many visitors per day? Or has it just launched or something and so it might get many frequent visitors?
3. Were scheduled imports working before, then stopped working? Or have you not been able to get scheduled imports to work at all since you bought and installed the plugin?
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @nucreative,
Thanks for your follow-up here. Before touching on something you wrote about the widgets which is interesting, I would like to address your citing of other past issues and threads, some of them two or three years old as you’ve mentioned.
This is not a useful or meaningful thing to do here because every single website is very different, and so yes, some beefed up servers with optimized code and caching and all sorts of custom things might handle dozens of thousands of events better than yours. There are myriad reasons why this could be the case, and so every single performance issue is a case-by-case issue.
As for us not being on top of it, we’ve introduced many improvements for performance over the years. But like I said, each site is different, and our plugin is just one piece of code on a site with themes, other plugins, WordPress itself, and all of the other server code, so there are many many factors here.
Just wanted to elaborate on that! We’re happy to try and help here and take this seriously, and constantly try to improve performance. 🙂 Occasional instances of bad performance do not negate these efforts.
Speaking of those efforts, you mention this which is something I’m quite surprised by:
When we remove the widget it improves to under 2 seconds. So there seems to be an issue with your widgets and in particular the calendar view?
I’ve never seen this behavior and cannot recreate it, so I will be trying to rope in a developer to assist me in investigating this behavior more closely.
Finally, you posted a truncated version of your site’s “System Information.” It only lists these plugins:
vaultpress version 1.8.1 by automattic(http://vaultpress.com/?utm_source=author-uri&utm_medium=plugin-description&utm_campaign=1.0)
adrotate version 3.15.3 by arnan de gans(http://ajdg.solutions/?pk_campaign=adrotatefree-pluginpage)
advanced post manager version 4.1.1 by modern tribe, inc.(http://m.tri.be/4n)
auto approve comments for specific posts version 1.0.1 by ioni(http://albastru.eu)
And then the block of information stops.
Can you please post the full, un-edited System Information of your website here to help us investigate? Here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!
