MemberGood evening Israel,
First off kudos on the solution and thank you for sharing it with everybody!
Here are some answers to your previous question for good measure.
1) If there is a way to tweak Events Calendar to show the default language events when it’s not translated I would be glad you point me to the forum topic. As of now WPML options is not working with Events Calendar.
That feature does not exist yet. But it has been logged and you will be informed when it is released.
Other than that, we are also looking forward to Event Tickets Plus full integration.
Thank you for bearing with us.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Wendy,
Thank you for writing back.
I am sorry to hear this did not work for you.I am not exactly sure why that is.
Can you ?:
- Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme and child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made. - Tell me if you are using any type of caching plugin (including through WordFence) ?
- Tell me if you are using custom language strings already ?
Hang in there!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the upgrade removing the ability to edit AND add new events. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
As an alternative, you could downgrade our plugins.
I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Kyle and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. Is there a way to control who can and cannot add events or are only the administrators allowed to do this?
The short answer is yes.
It will have to be based on their user role (and capacities).I would recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Sarah,
Thank you for writing back.
I am sorry to hear that downgrading did not fix the issue.Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme and child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made. While you are at it, I would like to take a look at the plugin in question if you do not mind.
At the very least, we could disable it on tickets products specifically (as Event Tickets Plus should already provide you with the ability to capture additional info for tickets. You also said that this used to work. Do you have any idea when it last worked?
Hang in there!

I would love to help you with this topic. How do I achieve something like this? http://salsalovers.com/
With the date overlay in purple… or the animated photo when hover? These are the results of customizations made to the different views of our plugins.
This leaves you with 3 options:
- Use the same WordPress theme (that contains these customizations). The theme is called fitness-wellness.
- Take a shot of customizing the views yourself. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
How can I make more than three photos appear across the calendar?
In this case, the site uses Avada’s integration of our Event Custom post type.
Simply put, these are 4 column rows using “Events” as a source (they could have used blog posts in the same manner). If you can use some form of page builder (Avada, Visual Composer, Divi, etc..) AND you can set the source to “Events”, you should be good to go.
The other options are to:
- Use widget shortcodes https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
- Tweak the photo view using the themer’s guide
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

I would love to help you with this topic.Typically, the “Order Review” section is part of the e-commerce WordPress plugin you are using (for the majority of people that would be WooCommerce).
This is why you are not finding it as part of our themer’s guide.
Here are a couple of examples on how to customize that section with WooCommerce:
- https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40922394/customizing-woocommerce-review-order-php-checkout-template

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The “Add to cart” text is found in Event Tickets Plus strings.
It can therefore be changed by:- Customizing the language file
- Using a snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
I highly recommend reading the 3 following articles on translation:
