    Good evening Stefan and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the warning creeping up on your website.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    In all likelihood this means that there is either:

    1. A conflict with another plugin
    2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
    3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

    When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

    A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

    The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

    Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

    But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1. Make a backup of your database
    2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

    Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Bob and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for the Events Calendar pro users here in our pre-sales forum.

    But, the good news is that you are still welcome to consult this forum and all our premium forums to your liking and browse it for solutions, snippets and tutorials.

    We’d be more than happy to assist you in the correct forum:

    1. Please log in to your account
    2. Submit a post to the Events Calendar Pro forum

    With that in mind, this type of issue is typically caused by one to the following causes:

    1. If the page or post containing the shortcode is “Private” or “Draft”
    2. When you have a Caching plugin that needs to be emptied
    3. When your browser cache needs refreshing. You can test that by viewing that link in a Private Browsing window.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Tyson and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

    Thank you for your interest in our products.
    We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    Can you tell me if the events calendar pro comes with the filter bar add on?

    Unfortunately no.
    Filter Bar is a completely separate add-on from the Events Calendar Pro.

    The good news is that both of these add-ons work really well together.
    To get a copy of Filter bar, you can simply download the license here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/

    If you are indeed interested in purchasing several of our add-ons, you might want to look into our bundles: https://theeventscalendar.com/bundles/

    Good evening Alan and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    In order to gain full power on your site’s look and feel, I would highly recommend reading the following articles:

    With that in mind, try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-schedule h3 {
    font-size: 16px !important;
    }

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Abi,

    Thank you for taking the time to write back.

    How do I get to the CSS of the event calendar specifically?

    That is a great question. The most important tool for this is the Inspector tool (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/)

    Simply put, you click around the page with that tool and examine the CSS rules around that element (both the element itself and perhaps it’s direct parents and children.

    Typically most the Events Calendar CSS will have terms such as tribe or events in them.
    A good example of that is the list I provided you with in my previous answer.

    Also, I can see that you can include html before or event the event calendar however it seems to add this before the calendar and each single event, is it possible for this to just display on the event calendar and not single events?

    Absolutely.

    Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-before-html, .events-single .tribe-events-before-html {display: none !important}

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Sharon,

    I am super stoked that you were able to find the cause of the issue and fix it.

    It seems strange though that doing this worked for the two events where the tickets were not showing up, while for another event that didn’t have that problem (http://www.plentypermaculture.co.nz/event/forest-garden-design-workshop/) the shared capacity is still set to 0. Am I going to have to tweak the shared capacity each time, or could it be something else.

    That is a great question. The short answer is that it is probably wiser to keep an eye on these for any previously created ticket.

    As you might know, shared capacity settings were introduced in Event Tickets Plus 4.6

    As such, it is possible that there might be some bump in the road with tickets created before that upgrade.

    Just to qualify that statement, we have run some pretty extensive QA before releasing that new completely revamped version. But it is still possible that there are edge cases like the one you experienced.

    We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused.

    Please keep us posted if you run into any more of these.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Heid,

    Thank you for the system information.
    My previous recommendation still stands (installing and configuring the SMTP plugin).

    With that in mind, just to be on the extra safe side, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme AND child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

    Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
    This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Joseph,

    Thank you for the files.
    I installed them on my test website, and I am glad to report that the second snippet included in your version worked like a charm.

    So there is most likely something else at play here.

    Here are a couple of things to try out:

    1. Play around with your SEO settings (in the settings panel of Extra)
    2. With a maintenance page active, try deactivating other plugins one-by-one to see if that helps
    3. Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if that helps.

    As a side note, I highly recommend making changes in a child-theme instead of editing the Extra theme directly. This will prevent you from losing your customizations when updating the theme.

    Have a good weekend,

    Good evening Franz and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    There are 2 ways to deal with this using CSS.

    Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    Making the title go under:

    .fusion-events-featured-image .fusion-events-single-title-content {
    position: relative !important;}

    Hiding the top event image (which repeats below the title):

    .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-image {display: none !important}

    Let me know how that goes.

    Have a good weekend,

    Good evening Sam and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

    Thank you for your interest in our products.
    We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    Can Events Calendar Pro import my data from Evenbite and populate the calendar?

    The Events Calendar Pro will  not let you do this.

    But the good news is that our Eventbrite tickets premium add-on will: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/

    Let me know if that helps.

    Good evening Heid and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the notifications no longer working as expected.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Secondly, if you have not already done so, you can have the system send tickets from any chosen email address by simply installing, configuring and testing the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

    Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.

    Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether.

    Doing so typically solves any notifications issues.

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.
