Good evening Fuzz and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly try to answer your question.

To be honest, I would do a much better job at answering if I had a bit more context to what you are trying to do exactly ?

When you are talking about a page ID, what are you referring to (the FB event, the Events Calendar’s event in WordPress ?).

If you could expand on that I would be glad to point you in the right direction.

    Have a great day!

    Hello again Keith,

I am afraid I did not communicate properly in my last reply. My apologies.

So let me try to clarify. The Facebook plugin does not work with WPML currently and yes we are aware of that fact.

Technically it is not a bug, it’s an unsupported feature.
Furthermore, the work on Events Tickets is actually not a bug fix, but rather a “new feature” (adding WPML compatibility which was not there before).

Keep in mind that WPML compatibility for some of our plugins (not all of them as stated earlier) is fairly recent.
What we are trying to do is to gradually increase the number of our plugins that support WPML.

As you can imagine, we have tons of new feature requests and every new feature requires a substantial amount of work.
This is why, in order to prioritize and please the largest number of customers possible, we add new features and compatibilities based on user demand.

To be completely transparent with you, so far WPML compatibility for the Facebook importer has not been requested.

I realize this is not great news, but I would still encourage you to suggest it as a desired compatibility in our User Voice forum.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Hagay and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

To be able to offer you proper support however, for future questions, we would need you to log into your Events Calendar account and use the following link to open up a support thread.

The reason for this is because support features and functionalities are limited in the Pre-Sales forum you have used for this thread.
    Thank you for your understanding.

    As per your question:

looking for a documentation of shortcodes list to disaplay calendar and disaplay list of events.
where can i find this please?

I believe the documentation on shortcodes you are looking for (which are a part of the Pro plugin) can be found here.

We are sorry you had a hard time finding these.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Kevin,

Are you saying we would need to take our live site down while we want to work on the staging site?

This is not what I am suggesting. I am sorry if I gave you that impression.

All that is going to happen while the license is moved to your staging site is that you will not be able to have access to updates on your live site.
Everything else should work as expected.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Stefan,

Does this mean, that I can edit the woocommerce product by myself in the backend without customization?

Yes, every time you create a ticket using the Events’ interface, it creates a WooCommerce product.
You can then edit that product through the Edit Event interface or through WooCommerce Edit product interface directly.

But, I highly doubt that you can change the product type to a bundled product (you could try, but I do not want to get your hopes up) without breaking the expected behaviour of the ticket from the built-in functionalities.

In other words, it is still very likely you will have to resort to customization.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Sitecrafting and welcome back!

Thank you for following up on this.

I have great news. We have worked really hard at speeding up our release cycle, especially when it comes to bug fixes, which should now come out on a very regular basis.
In fact we intend to have a first maintenance release out next week, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

It appears that the patch for your specific issue will be in there, so stay tuned!

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Keith and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly try to answer your question on this topic.

I notice in this thread that work is under way on the WPML incompatibilities with TEC Pro and Tickets Plus. I’m seeing various problems with WPML and Facebook Events. What is the current status? Are there known bugs logged with FB Importer/WPML?

You are absolutely right in your observations of issues with Facebook Events.

To be fair, at the current time, the only premium plugins that have officially been flagged as compatible with WPML are the core plugin (the free version of the Events Calendar) and the Events Calendar Pro (minus the recurring events which we are working on fixing).

In other words, we truly want to insure WPML compatibility with all of our premium plugins down the road.
But to be transparent, we never claimed that this compatibility was available with all the premium plugins. We are sorry if you were led to believe that this was the case.

In fact if you want to make sure it gets in there sooner than later, you can suggest it or cast your vote on other features in our User Voice forum.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Have a great day!

Good evening ODED and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that the event page does not seem to be displaying properly.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ?

Also, I noticed something odd about the page you sent while looking at it from the Google inspector. A lot of the divs have a draft status ?

Is it possible that there is some caching issue at stake here ?

    Have a great day!

Good evening Mansoor and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the fact that the tickets are not displaying like they should.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.

At first glance, the main problem I see is that the client is still using the WooCommerce tickets plugin as opposed to the Events Tickets Plus plugin.
The WooCommerce tickets plugin is no longer supported and will most likely break with the latest version of WooCommerce and the Events Calendar plugins.

As a first step, after making a complete backup of everything (database and plugins), I would recommend following the instructions found here.

Let me know how that goes.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Vijay and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about issues you are experiencing with Mailchimp.
We would be glad to assist you on this topic.

To be able to offer you proper support however, we would need you to log into your Events Calendar account and use the following link to open up a support thread.

And while you are at it, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information as well as a copy or link to the broken newsletter ?

The reason for this is because support features and functionalities are limited in the Pre-Sales forum you have used for this thread.
    Thank you for your understanding.

For now I will close this thread and we are looking forward to seeing you in the premium plugins forum.

in reply to: Easy way of modifying the layout of a single event? #1071031

Good afternoon Ajay and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for the feedback on how you feel about the current version of the Themer’s guide.
We do try to make things as simple and user-friendly as possible, but, of course, there is always room for improvement 🙂

I just submitted your idea of including more Themer’s guide primers / videos to help ease the learning curve.
I cannot commit to a date yet, but it’s now on our radar. Thank you.

Just to set expectations, although we totally understand that PHP can be scary, the scope of our support actually does not include template customization.
That being said, we will gladly try to at least get you started on the right foot.

Could anyone suggest a fairly straight-forward way of modifying the layout of a single-event – when there is a ticket involved (using Event Tickets Plus with Woocommerce) the ticket-buying part is right at the bottom and we’d prefer it was higher up. Php is scary but I have worked out how to create a sort-of child version of eg.single-event.php in Divi.

As you can imagine, there is no easier way of doing this than by doing some PHP work (hence the Themer’s guide). But once you get a better understanding of PHP basics (you don’t need to be a ninja at it), it’s actually not that bad.

With that in mind here’s the high-level breakdown of you would need to do :

    1. Create a folder in your Divi child theme called tribe-events
    2. Make a copy of the single-event.php found in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views into that newly created folder
    3. Edit the newly copied file and add a condition in your template to modify the layout based on the value of the following function (using an IF conditional)

If you are afraid of breaking things, perhaps you should consider setting up a local WordPress installation or using a staging / dev installation ?

Finally, you could hire one of our recommended customizers to do this for you.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Let me know if that helps.

Good afternoon Leia and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.

I really like the way they show the categories with drop downs and the white background. I wonder where do I start if I want it to look like that?
I also have the filter bar, but I would like to change both of them.

Great question. By the looks of it, this site is actually not using our plugin 🙁

That being said, you could totally achieve similar results through some template customization and CSS.

As a starting point, you might want to read our Themer’s guide.
To make a long story short, you can make your own versions of most views for both the free plugin and the premium plugins.

If you prefer, you can also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

In the link above the categories are showing without clicking on category – just by hover.
Is it a lot of modifying to do that?

My best guess is that this is accomplished via some form of JavaScript, which is not a feature that is currently built-in our products.

So unless you are confortable with coding (or have access to somebody who is), it is involved enough that I would consider using a professional for that purpose.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Dan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly answer your question.

Since you are using WooCommerce, the best solution would be to generate the said reports through WooCommerce (including date range and such)

This provides you with a couple of options:

    1. Use the built-in WooCommerce reports found under WooCommerce -> Reports
    2. If these reports are not customizable enough to your liking, then you’ll have to go with an extra WooCommerce plugin. There are free and paid versions of such plugins (as a simple Google search with the words woocommerce reports plugin will reveal). Based on the sheer number of plugins available for that purpose, you are bound to find one you like 🙂

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon William,

    Thank you for your reply.

The events in question are single and ongoing. 11:45pm-12:30am seems to be a popular ongoing event with different titles. Shows up on website but isn’t in the google calendar. There are also some single events that show in the google calendar but aren’t on the website.

To help you further on that matter, I will need:

    1. A couple of specific examples of faulty events (date, name, etc..)
    2. The original Google Calendar URL and the Google Calendar feed (in a private reply if you prefer)

Do you know what specifically I need to delete in my database?

I am afraid I caused a bit more confusion with my initial answer. My apologies and I’ll try to clarify what I meant.

My comment was about the fact that you could not seem to reimport even after deleting the events.
As stated, there is actually a built-in feature preventing you from reimporting deleted events.

To work around that feature you need to go to your posts table in your Database and look for the tribe-events post types.
You will have to manually delete the entries that you are looking to reimport.

Hopefully this makes it a bit clearer.

I am looking forward to your answers.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
