ParticipantMy iCal feed works wonderfully. It’s been up and running for a month now with recurring events on the hour. However, recently there have been additional events posted to days where there shouldn’t be an event or some times are off from the google calendar it is getting its feed from
A side note: the client did make a change and want a different google calendar imported a few weeks back. So I hooked up that url and imported the feed, then deleted the old url/feed.
I tried starting from scratch thinking that maybe some of the old events from the first feed were somehow in there and conflicting with the new feed. So I deleted all events and emptied the trash and tried to import the feed again but got an error. It wouldn’t let me import the feed.
Presently the site is reverted back to a backup before I started messing with everything.
Can you shed any light?

MemberGood evening William and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the iCal importer issues you have been experiencing.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.
This might require a bit of back and forth, so bear with us.

Just to make sure, could you share what the error message was ?
This is probably caused by one of the built-in features of our plugin. To make a long story short, to prevent events duplicates, the plugin blocks events from being reimported, even after they have been deleted.
You can solve this by:
- Deleting these events straight from the Database (after a backup of course)
- Use the following snippet in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme.
As for the faulty events, could you please provide some more details on them ? (are they recurring events ? If so, what are their recurrence rules ?)
I am looking forward to hear back from you.
Have a great day!

ParticipantThe events in question are single and ongoing. 11:45pm-12:30am seems to be a popular ongoing event with different titles. Shows up on website but isn’t in the google calendar. There are also some single events that show in the google calendar but aren’t on the website.
I can’t give you specifics on the error for I didn’t jot it down before reverting back to a previous backup.
Do you know what specifically I need to delete in my database? I don’t see anything that looks event related.

MemberGood afternoon William,
Thank you for your reply.
The events in question are single and ongoing. 11:45pm-12:30am seems to be a popular ongoing event with different titles. Shows up on website but isn’t in the google calendar. There are also some single events that show in the google calendar but aren’t on the website.
To help you further on that matter, I will need:
- A couple of specific examples of faulty events (date, name, etc..)
- The original Google Calendar URL and the Google Calendar feed (in a private reply if you prefer)
Do you know what specifically I need to delete in my database?
I am afraid I caused a bit more confusion with my initial answer. My apologies and I’ll try to clarify what I meant.
My comment was about the fact that you could not seem to reimport even after deleting the events.
As stated, there is actually a built-in feature preventing you from reimporting deleted events. To work around that feature you need to go to your posts table in your Database and look for the tribe-events post types.
You will have to manually delete the entries that you are looking to reimport.Hopefully this makes it a bit clearer.
I am looking forward to your answers.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening William,
Thank you for providing me with the specifics of your Calendar.
The “good news” is that I was able to reproduce the faulty events. It is as though these events are not taking the timezone setting into account for some strange reason.
Upon further research, it appears that this is actually a legitimate bug that has already been ticketed.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.In the meantime, your best option is to manually edit the faulty events unfortunately.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Have a great day!
