Status of compatibility between Events Calendar Pro & WPML

Hi guys,

About to start another project for a multilingual website with heavy reliance on events as content.

What’s the status of compatibility between Events Calendar Pro and WPML? I found a couple of general articles in the knowledge base related to WPML, and I also started a support thread back in 2014 related to 404 errors when you’d switch between languages for which I came up with a not very elegant “solution”.

Have you guys made progress in this area? Can you provide examples of multilingual sites using Events Calendar Pro?

You remain my top option for events management but I don’t want to have unpleasant surprises as I advance in the development of this new site.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We’ll be glad to give you the requested status update.

The status is fairly straightforward. Currently, only the Core plugin has thorough integration with WPML.
For the most part, Pro works well with WPML as well, except when it comes down to recurring events.

This has been logged as a bug and is currently going through the release cycle. I cannot give you a date for now however.

So in short, the good news is that the 404 errors of 2014 are gone, thanks to some hand in hand work with the folks from WPML.

The Events Calendar’s goal is to complete integration with WPML for Pro and even Tickets Plus this year.
Hopefully sooner than later. So stay tuned!

I am not at liberty to disclose clients examples of the Calendar using WPML, but as a WPML user myself, I use the Events Calendar and WPML every single day and the integration is seamless.
