MemberGood afternoon W David,
Thank you for sharing that information.
On my end, I am doing a bit of research to try to find a workaround for this.
In order to do a good job at this, would you be able to:
- Tell me if that subscription product contained any ticket ?
- Try another test subscription purchase to see if the blank email is triggered systematically ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
Geoff B.Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon,
@Kadi, although the issue looks very similar, you will benefit from having the full attention of our support staff by opening your own separate thread on this topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/post/ . Thank you for your understanding.
@Joanna, thank you for sharing the details of the .htaccess file. If this is indeed the file that controls your subdomain calendar.childmags.com.au (some web hosts will have different ways to go about this), then it looks perfectly fine.
This would leave us with 2 reasons for not having pretty permalink support:
- Theme or plugin conflict. Could you please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out. Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
- Something needs to be done at your hosting level to allow it (surprisingly, mod rewrite is not always supported by default)
If you don’t mind, could you also tell me how my other suggestions went ?
Thank you for your continuing patience as we try to get to the bottom of this.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Dave,
Thanks so much for your patience.
My awesome colleague George took a look at what were able to here, but unfortunately a full-on PHP-based solution is not something we’ve arrived at yet.But I wanted to share a solution that should work pretty well. It’s a bit of a “hack,” a “trick,” but it results in the title saying “Events” on the single-event pages on your site.
Try copying this entire code snippet, and then paste it into your theme’s functions.php file → https://git.io/vVOAs
That should do the trick. As evidence of this, here’s a screenshot of your single-event page before that snippet is added: https://cloudup.com/cTQRQNHQRoQ.
And here’s how it looks with the code added: https://cloudup.com/cDvOS7-vXAo
I hope this helps! If it doesn’t I guess we’ll have to call it a day in spite of our best efforts 🙁
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Dirk and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us and for the kind words.
I would love to help you with this topic. To make a long story short, what is happening is that the po/mo and the pot files packaged with our plugins are not always 100% up to date.
It would advise the following:
- Download the complete plugin folder for both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus
- Open the .pot file in Poedit from your downloaded folder
- Using the Catalog menu, click on “Update from sources”. You should see the missing strings added.
- Save the .pot file
- Open your .po file
- Using the Catalog menu, click on “Update from pot”. You should see the missing strings added.
- You can now translate the missing strings
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Norbert and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the all recurrent events link not working for you.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a starting note, please know that although the problem seems similar, there is a good chance the cause can be different. The good news is that we’ll make sure we find a solution that works for you.
From the looks of it, you have done some pretty nice customizations on our calendar. It looks great!
However, there is chance that these customizations might require some updating to work properly with our latest plugins.
There is also a chance that the issue is caused by a plugin conflict (and not your theme).
Either way, could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

MemberGood evening Guy,
I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you.
Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our wonderful customers started on the right track to customize their site and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
I apologize, as I should have started with this disclaimer, my bad.
A very simple approach to get what you want would be to use CSS.
It’s very rough (you will need to tweak the container and general appearance), but you could start by using a rule such at this one:.tribe_community_edit .ui-datepicker-prev, .tribe_community_edit .ui-datepicker-group-middle, .tribe_community_edit .ui-datepicker-group-last {display:none}Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Ian,
Thank you for clarifying and for providing the system information.
I do believe that if we can solve the issue for the single import we’ll be well on our way to solving the recurring import as well.
At this point, I see 2 potential types of causes for this (based on the fact that I was successful in the import):
- We might need to adjust your the Events Calendar timezone settings (I believe the one for WordPress is “Los Angeles”. Would you mind telling me what is your setting under Events -> Settings -> General ?
- You might be experiencing a conflict with another theme or plugin
Could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

MemberGood evening Joseph,
Thank you for providing that extra information. I was able to reproduce the issue on my end.
I believe you are right, this seems to be limited to recurring events.
I opened a bug ticket to make sure this gets fixed. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
We apologize for any inconvenience this is creating in the meantime.

MemberGood evening W David,
Thank you for the screenshot.
By your response I assume we can rule out the following causes:
- A ticket transaction that where the payment was completed
- A ticket transaction that had its status automatically changed to “Completed”
I am trying to cross-reference your issue with the one from another customer in order to find out what could possibly be the cause for this.
It looks like in both of your cases, something from WooCommerce is triggering the ticket email. I also notice that you are both using WooCommerce Subscriptions (although that might be a coincidence).
Would you, by any chance, be able to tell me what type of WooCommerce order seems to be triggering this ? (simple product, subscription, etc..)
My next question would then be is that systematic with that type of product for you ? (does every purchase of that type generate that blank email)
Thank you so much for your time to help resolve this issue, it’s truly appreciated.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Lee,
Thank you for the CSV file.
I opened the file to gain access to its content and I believe your issue is caused by the name of the venue (
Drai’s). The reason for that is because the ‘ character is typically used as a delimiter. As you can see in the following article, that character needs to be contained in between quotation marks: http://sales.commence.com/commencekb/article.aspx?id=11147
Otherwise, it will offset the whole content of the CSV, making it unreadable upon import.
Let me know if that helps.Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Jimmy,
Congratulations on finding the cause of the problem!
As you might guess, we try to make our plugin compatible with as many plugins as possible, unfortunately that is not always the case.
At this point, you will have 2 choices:
- Deactivate the plugin (which you already did)
- Contact the plugin author to see if they can provide you with a code snippet to use to add an exception for the Photo view of our plugin
Unfortunately, I cannot offer more support than this for a third-party plugin.
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!

MemberGood afternoon Joanna,
Congratulations on fixing the 404 message.
Based on the fact that pretty permalinks are not working for you, there is a strong chance that this could be fixed by reviewing the .htaccess file of your WordPress installation. Would you mind sharing the content of your .htaccess file in a private reply ?
As per your original question, the reason why the event details are displaying in the sidebar is because there is a template customization for the Events Calendar in your WordPress theme (Avada if I am not mistaking).
To get the display back to standard, you have a couple of options available:
- Try to change the setting in Events -> Settings -> Display for Events template try Default Event Template.
- Either with your theme author’s assistance or on your own (reading our Themer’s guide ), tweak the file called single-event.php found in the /tribe-events/ folder of your theme so that it looks more like the one found in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/
- After a backup, try removing the file single-event.php found in the /tribe-events/ folder of your theme
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
