MemberGood evening Jimmy and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the fact that your events are not appearing in the correct order.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ? (following the instructions found in the link)
As a follow-up question, can you tell me if there are any of these events that have the checkbox Sticky in Month View checked in the Events Options box (when you edit an event) ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberThank you for the reply and the system info Jimmy,
I am noticing a couple of things which might help:
- You have a couple of Javascript errors on you events page (is it possible you have the debug mode on ?)
- I believe you are using some template customization on your calendar view that might need some updating to work properly. Could you confirm that there is a /tribe-events/ folder in your WordPress theme ?
Ideally, could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation (theme and plugins) to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
Finally, if you don’t mind, could please share with me your timezone settings both for WordPress and the ones found at Events -> Settings ?
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Jimmy,
Thank you for your reply.
I totally understand that sometimes it’s not possible to revert back to a bare WordPress installation. This is why I was suggesting doing it on a test install.
With that in mind:
- Can you try changing your Events Calendar timezone setting to Use the local timezones for each event and see if that has any impact ?
- Could you tell me what happens if (after doing a backup), you replace the photo.php file found in your /tribe-events/ folder by the latest version of it ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Jimmy,
Thank you for trying my suggestions. I’m sorry this wasn’t successful for you.
I appreciate your invitation to log in.Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability.
To make a long story short, since I am unable to replicate the issue and there is no other report of a similar issue – at this point I am convinced that there is a piece of code somewhere on your installation that is impacting the way the events are returned.
This is why a testing environment would be really useful (even a fresh WordPress install in a subdirectory could work) to identify if this is due to a plugin or to the theme.
As an alternative, perhaps temporarily put your site in maintenance (late at night) and at least try to momentarily switch back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-fifteen.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know what you decide,
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening again Jimmy,
Thank you for your continuing efforts.
Perhaps I created some confusion with my previous reply. If that is the case, I apologize.Reinstalling our software will not solve the issue in your situation unfortunately.
What is going on is that there is a conflict with between our software and one of the following things:- Your WordPress theme
- The code that is found in your theme /tribe-events folder or in the functions.php of that theme
- One of your other plugins
- One of the date formats used either by WordPress, our plugin or WPML
Unfortunately, the only way to be sure which of these is the cause (which will allow us to find the solution) is to test.
Since this is not possible on your live website, the best option would be to create a local “copy” of your site on your computer (installing the same plugins and theme). That way you can test without breaking your website.
Here are a couple of links on how to do that:
- On Mac: https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_Locally_on_Your_Mac_With_MAMP
- On PC: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/setting-up-xampp/
With that in mind, I have a question for you. Is it possible that the reason you are saying that the events are not displaying in the right order is because of the display of the following events :
- Jersey Boys på Gothia Towers
- Bryan Ferry på The Theatre
- Lobby Fridays: mathiasmelo
- After Run-fest med Barbados & Tredrag
If that’s the case, I believe I might have a solution for you
Let me know.
Have a great day!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanksa again for your effort.I deactivated all plugins, one at a time. Found out that the Page Split Test-plugin was interfering.
So, now the date order looks good. 🙂Do you have any idea how to work around this issue?
Best Regards

MemberGood afternoon Jimmy,
Congratulations on finding the cause of the problem!
As you might guess, we try to make our plugin compatible with as many plugins as possible, unfortunately that is not always the case.
At this point, you will have 2 choices:
- Deactivate the plugin (which you already did)
- Contact the plugin author to see if they can provide you with a code snippet to use to add an exception for the Photo view of our plugin
Unfortunately, I cannot offer more support than this for a third-party plugin.
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!
Geoff B.
