Good evening Joelle and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

I am not sure exactly where your client would want this to change (as there are many places for that).
Keep in mind that some strings are actually made from 2 separate strings (e.g.: %s Categories)

    You could:

Create custom po/mo files where you would replace the term (the-events-calendar-en_US.po and the-events-calendar-en_US.mo)

    Use the following snippet: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Riccardo and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

As you know, there are a few widgets available. But, based on your description, I believe you are talking about the Events List widget.

The good news is that you can modify pretty much any view or widget to your liking. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

With that in mind, I would recommend the 2 following links that touch on that very topic:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/add-month-to-dateday-box-in-widget-list-view/#post-954367
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-list-widget-date-image-to-show-month-instead-of-day-of-the-week/#dl_post-950474

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Ryan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for your suggestions.

We are sorry to hear about the unpredictable behaviour of the weekly exclusion for recurring events.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

With that in mind, I am unfortunately unable to see the said screenshots.

That means that short term I am unable to reproduce the issue.
Perhaps you could said a link to a Dropbox or Google Drive .zip file ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Lee,

Thank you for doing all of that. I believe your efforts are about to pay off.

There are 2 things that need to be done at this point:

    1. In the screenshot you provided, there is a “Get Authorization” button. You need to click on that 🙂
    2. If you haven’t done so already, since you are using a Genesis theme, please go through the following article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/genesis-theme-framework-integration/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Hey Riccardo,

I am sorry that this is not working to your liking.

I suspect that something else is interfering with the process.
The reason I am saying this is because this snippet of code has been tested successfully on several websites from different customers with success.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Thank you for you for your patience as we are trying to understand what is causing the interference.

    Best regards,

    Bonjour,

    Salutations,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Riccardo,

    Thank you for the files.

Based on the theme files you have sent me, I do not see the snippet found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/prevent-translation-update/#post-1116291 in the functions.php of your WordPress child theme.

I believe that simply adding that code in there will make things work to your liking.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Marian,

Thank you for your answer and for providing the requested info.

Would you mind sending me a copy of the csv file in question as well as a copy of your WordPress theme / Child Theme in a .zip file (in a private reply) so that I can run some tests please ?

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Bonsoir,

    Bon week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Hello Abigail,

    Thank your for the files.

I just spent a good amount of time running every possible scenario and testing things out.
I was not able to reproduce the issue you are experimenting unfortunately.

The good news is that means that we can rule out the theme conflict theory.

Here is my best working theories. I don’t have all the information here, so I might be wrong. Please feel free to correct my assumptions.

    If I am not mistaking:

    • Your faulty tickets were created while you were using the wootickets plugin
    • I am not sure if you actually went through the following procedure as you were upgrading ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/
    • In the case you did not, this could explain why your tickets got “corrupted” and assigned the RSVP option
    • If that is not the case, it does look like these specific tickets are not repairable any way
    • I would advise in trying to create new tickets from scratch and see if they are indeed editable as they should be
    • If that works, the quickest solution at this point will be to create new tickets to replace the corrupted one

Let me know how that goes.

I will be exceptionally checking this thread over the weekend.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
