MemberGood afternoon Peter and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the crazy amount of recurring events showing up on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I am not exactly sure what happened here, but the good news is that we have several solutions available for such cases:
- Make sure you have the latest version of our plugins installed (4.2.3)
- You could go in the master/initial faulty event and simply re-save it (which should trigger proper recurrence building). But that does not seem to be an option here.
- You could install the following plugin and run the re-build manually: recurrence-rebuild-helper
- Provided you have a backup of your database, you can run the following SQL query to delete all recurrences of an event: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/e750ef07aae1d1eff45178031ee64c25
Once you have the recurrence number under control, could you please share with me a screenshot of your exact settings for that recurring event ?
This way I can provide you with the best way to go about it (after some tests)Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Allen,
Thank you for your reply and for the tests.
I am sorry to hear we have not identified the cause of this yet.As stated before, the only good news is that there has been no other report or successful reproduction of this issue.
This means that there has to be a way to fix this.Since this is a Dev environment, there could be a couple of things at play:
- Is your Dev environment allowing public access ? In other words is there a password or some kind of security on your public_html directory or its subfolders ?
- If you create a new ticket on a fresh install without QtranslateX do you still get the same issue ?
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Oliver,
Thank you for writing back and for providing some clarification on the situation.
You are right, it seems like you are doing only normal basic things which should result in the attendees showing up without limitation.
I totally understand where you are coming from and I don’t doubt the fact that you are experiencing this issue.
You are right, some of our users have unfortunately been experiencing similar issues. That being said, we prefer to take a tailored approach to make sure we get to the bottom of your specific issue as fast as possible.
The first step towards that resolution would be for you to provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Without that I unfortunately have little to work with.
As for your suggestion, you can totally have access to an error log by turning WP Debug on: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
That being said, in all transparency, I suspect the issue is elsewhere.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

Normally, you can add an one or many organizers to an event you are creating. Perhaps this is a permission issue ?
I would recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/

MemberGood evening Daron and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the event having randomly duplicated on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. There are 2 things you can do to fix this:
- Head over to the faulty events “Edit event screen” and simply re-save them (individually). That will trigger the recurrence rebuild for them
- If that does not work, I would recommend installing the following plugin and triggering the rebuild manually: recurrence-rebuild-helper
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Rika and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about that random message creeping up. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.Typically this sort of error is due to either:
- A theme / plugin / customization conflict
- Not enough WordPress memory defined in your wp-config.php file
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Additionally, to expedite the process, could you please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
Hang in there as we troubleshoot this one.

MemberGood evening Allen,
Thank you for writing back and for the system information.
By the looks of it, I am pretty certain the issue stems from a plugin or theme conflict.
For one thing, we actually do not support QTranslateX for multilingual setups. That being said, I know some of our users have achieved compatibility with different multi-lingual plugins through customization.
Our multilingual solution of choice is WPML – for which we currently support the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro.
Additionally, we plan to extend that support to our other plugins (such as Event Tickets Plus) in the near future. To make sure what the cause is, could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
If you are unable to perform this in a testing environment or local install, I would highly advise to make a Database backup before you attempt anything.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Alex,
Thank you for writing back.
What do you mean by “theme my login control”? I was trying to figure out if i could create multiple users via WP and have them have access to event creation that way.
The plugins I have talked to you about do exactly what you are looking for. You don’t actually need anything else.
I did mention the following plugin in passing (there are others that are similar to it): https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/
The reason for that is because it integrates nicely with our plugins and gives you additional features such as:
- Complete customization of a front-end based login screen
- Complete customization of a front-end based user profile screen
- And other great features
But, this was merely a suggestion to get even more features should you want them. You absolutely do not need to use this plugin unless you want to 🙂
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Rob,
Thank you for writing back.
Actually, you are on the right track to achieving what you are looking for.
The code you pointed does display a “show all events” link. However, it does so for the list widget, not the mini-calendar widget (that you are using in the screenshot).
The files that generate the mini-calendar (and it’s ensuing attached list – which is different than the actual list widget) is detailed under the widget section of : https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
So in other words, I am absolutely certain that what you want can be accomplished via a bit of customization to the mini-calendar view.
As an alternative, you could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
That being said, I can totally see how that would be a cool feature.
In fact, you can suggest it in our User Voice forum. That way others can vote on it too!Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberHey Hendrick,
Thank you for writing back and for the system info.
Thank you also for clarifying what the issue is on your end.Unfortunately, I am a struggling to reproduce it on my end with a basic WordPress install and a default WordPress theme.
There is nothing obvious in your configuration that should generate this issue as far as I know.Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) in a private reply so that I can run some tests on my end ?
I would also be curious to know how much memory is allocated to WordPress in your wp-config file and if there is any timeout value defined for script execution ?
Hang in there as we sort this through.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

August 1, 2016 at 8:12 pm in reply to: Can I have the events at the same size – equal high – in Photo view? #1146375Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Skiwi,
Thank you for writing back and for the exact link.
First, I am noticing that your different featured images do not all have the same ratio (starting with the height).
You will need a rule that fixes that. You might want to adjust it, but I would start with:.tribe-events-photo-event .tribe-events-event-image {
max-height: 192px;
overflow: hidden;
}Secondly, it appears that your date and start time are inconsistent across events (some on 1 line, some on 2 lines).
You could:
- Remove the time from the view via a template customization. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- Make the font for both the time and the date smaller so that it always fits on one line
.tribe-events-photo-event-wrap .tribe-event-schedule-details .tribe-event-date-start, .tribe-events-photo-event-wrap .tribe-event-schedule-details .tribe-event-time { font-size: 12px}Finally, it looks like some of your event descriptions are longer than others.
There are a few ways you can control that, but the simplest is through the excerpt field in the Edit event screen.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Matthew,
I believe that Mathew is right on point. Thank you Mathew for being so helpful.
I would recommend going over to Appearance > Widgets and making sure the widget named “Events Calendar – The events calendar mini calendar widget”.
Let me know how that goes.
