Good evening Austin and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

I am currently using event tickets plus, and want to know how to embed QR Code in my ticket.

Actually, there should already be a QR Code on the ticket with Event Tickets Plus. Furthermore, the built-in functionality also includes a unique code for each ticket and the ability to check-in (and provide an error message if a user has already checked-in)

Are you trying to use a different QR Code on top of the current one ? Are you looking to add a second unique ID on each ticket ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Daniel and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

is there a way to list the events tickets as woocommerce products in the product categorie sites?

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is yes. But, you would require 2 things to achieve that:

    1. Make sure your tickets are not hidden from the product catalog (which they are by default – see the visibility option in the product)
    2. Make sure your tickets get assigned a product category (e.g.: tickets)

Of course, you could achieve this manually, but you will probably find that it’s faster to add a few snippets to the functions.php of your theme on your site.

    Here’s a couple of them:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/adding-category-to-ticket-in-woo-overridding-via-themers-guide-not-working/#post-1061809 – adds a WooCommerce product category to tickets
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/can-tickets-be-viewable-through-woocommerce-shop-as-well-as-event-page/#post-1096314 – makes all tickets visible in the catalog

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Kimberley and hello again!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As my colleague Brook pointed out, currently there is no built-in feature that allows date range search.

It is however possible to add it through some coding. If you are new to this, I would recommend reading our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works AND following the advice Brook gave to that other gentleman who achieved this on his website.

That being said, I would encourage you to vote for that feature here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/4157351-date-range-picker

As an alternative, if this is a bit outside of your comfort zone, you might consider hiring one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Let me know if that helps get you started.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Donell and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

I believe that the issue is caused by the fact that you currently have only a community events license that is active. Based on your customer account, I actually don’t see any license for Pro in your account history (perhaps you bought that initial license under another email / customer account) ?

In any case, the license key for Pro and for Community Events will always be different (you can’t use the same for both). Provided you find which account / email the Pro license was bought under AND that it’s still valid, I could help you find the correct license key.

As you might know, the way this works is that unless you have a valid license, you can no longer upgrade our premium plugins (such as Pro). You can still use them, but you lose access to the upgrades (at least until you renew the license 🙂 ).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Rob and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the widget not working on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

I took a look at your website and I am seeing an error message for JQMigrate (through the Google Chrome Developer Tools).

That Javascript error is most likely breaking the proper functioning of the calendar widget.

Could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Daniel and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the clutter on your calendar. This was certainly not intended on our end.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Arguably, everyone has slightly different needs when it comes to the different views.

This is why we made sure that each view is as customizable as possible.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Basically, through a combination of view customization and revised functions in your theme’s functions.php, you should be able to get the calendar to look exactly the way you want it to.

If that is a bit out of your comfort zone, as an alternative, you can hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

Please note that, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

Let me know if that helps getting you closer to your goal.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Thomas and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for your system information.

We are sorry to hear about your recent data loss. That is certainly unexpected behaviour. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

I did a bit of research and it turns out you are absolutely right! We do apologize for the inconvenience.

The good news however is that bugfix should be released as part of tomorrow’s maintenance release!

So hang tight as we release a fix precisely for that very annoying issue.

    Best regards,

Good evening Riccardo and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about these messages creeping up on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Normally, the lack of license should not cause any issue (aside from the ability to upgrade the Pro add-on).

That being said, you can actually move your license around should you want to. Please read the following article on this topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/

More likely though, the issue is probably caused by PHP 7.
At the time of writing, there are still enough glitches with that version of PHP that we can’t claim full compatibility.

As a first step, I would try rolling back to an earlier version of PHP (e.g.: 5.4+)

Secondly, it is possible that you might have to tweak your WordPress memory and timeout settings in wp-config.php

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Oliver,

Thank you for writing back, for the system information and for doing some additional testing.

On my end, I have shared this with our senior Dev staff to make sure we treat this with the seriousness it calls for.

Here is some feed back from that effort:

It is not entirely clear if the issue is with the frontend attendee list (I assume that’s what it is) or the actual attendee screen accessed from the admin  environment. Either way, it would be worth confirming and also seeing if there are test event/tickets on his staging site where there are more than 5 attendees but no list showing and where we can submit more attendees ourselves (and perhaps examine the browser dev tools – and network tab in particular – in case anything else is getting in the way for some reason)

Let me know if that is something that is possible ?

As per the specific piece of code you have tracked down, could you please share which file you are taking this from (just to ensure we can run some additional tests). This would be useful since we have not yet been able to reproduce the issue on our end (but we are trying to!).

Something else that could be at play here is if there are any security/password protection on your staging environment. I am bringing this up because I recently worked on a project with a client that had a Staging environment on wpengine. After much investigation, the issue was caused by that password protection.

I also understand that time of the essence and that you might have to make some executive decisions.
Please note that we would like nothing more than to sort this out.

As much as we would hate to lose a valuable customer over an issue that is not standard behaviour, the good news is that you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon David and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fact that your ticket is showing as free and is of an RSVP type instead of WooCommerce.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

This sometimes happens when a ticket is accidentally initially created as RSVP and then switched over to a WooCommerce ticket.
To make a long story short, switching a ticket from one type to another simply does not work well (at least for now).

My best recommendation would be to completely delete that ticket and create a brand new one making sure that WooCommerce is selected during creation.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
