ParticipantI have tried placing the Mini-Calendar widget on a number of themes, but I haven’t been able to get the “next/previous” arrows to appear. Can someone advise me on how to add the “next/previous” arrows to the Mini-Calendar Widget?

MemberGood evening Matthew and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us and for the system information.
We are sorry to hear that you are not able to display the next/previous arrows on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first step, could you point me towards an URL where the mini-calendar widget is in place ?
The reason I am asking is because I am noticing a small calendar on the home page of your website, but it doesn’t seem to stem from our widget.
Secondly, I am noticing that your install is using PHP 5.2.x .
If you get a chance, I would highly recommend upgrading to PHP 5.4+ ( WordPress actually recommends 5.6+, but 5.4+ is fine).
There have been several weird behaviours reported with older versions of PHP, so it’s totally worth a shot in my opinion.Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThank you for your help. I have updated the PHP, however the mini-calendar still doesn’t appear to load the “preview/next” arrows to see future or past months.
I have reinstalled the Calendar Pro. Then I re-added the mini-calendar to http://www.matthewmccray.com/wordpress/. You mentioned that this mini-calendar might be pulling from another site, but the events it lists match the big calendar and I believe it is the mini-calendar supplied by you.
Can you assist?
Thank you.

ParticipantMatthew,
The calendar that is currently displayed on your site is the WordPress “Calendar” widget and not the “Events Calendar” widget. The WordPress Calendar widget does not have any pagination control.
To use The Events Calendar mini calendar widget, look for one called “Events Calendar”.
Best of luck.

MemberGood evening Matthew,
I believe that Mathew is right on point. Thank you Mathew for being so helpful.
I would recommend going over to Appearance > Widgets and making sure the widget named “Events Calendar – The events calendar mini calendar widget”.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantThank you for your assistance. You were correct… I didn’t realize WP had another calendar widget and I had accidentally been using that one.
Thanks.
