MemberGood evening Karoliina and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to answer your questions.
If I do that, will my license for this paid plugin (which I’ve also customized) also be valid? or is it site-specific and would i have to buy the license again for the new domain?
Good news. No need to spend extra money!
You can simply follow the instructions found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
is it possible for me to transfer the license of a paid plugin from one site to another? (meaning: i build a new site, “uninstall” events calendar pro from the old site and “install” it on the new one? its that possible?
I can’t speak for other paid plugins companies. You would have to ask each company individually.
But as the link above indicates, you are free to move your license with us around your sites as much as you want.Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

Thank you for reaching out to us and following up on this.
I took a look at the related ticket status and I can confirm that the fix has not been released yet.
Unfortunately, I still cannot commit to a release date at this point.
But you will be contacted as soon as the fix is released. As a side note, we have maintenance releases about every 2 weeks and we always make sure to include as many fixes in there as possible.
Thank you for your great patience,

MemberGood evening Michael and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.
I believe that in your situation, you will probably be better served by upgrading to the agency license than by upgrading to the multisite license.
The reason for this is because you can indeed split these 10 license keys anywhere you want to.By contrast, the multisite license is really meant to stay on one multi-site network.
As a starting point, I would recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Mr. Peri,
I have even better news for you.
According to my tests, simply updating to the newest version of our plugins should solve this for you.Would you mind trying it out and confirming ?
If you prefer my earlier solutions, you will have to pick between the 2.
The first one involves some intermediary knowledge of updating translation files: https://www.icanlocalize.com/site/tutorials/how-to-translate-with-gettext-po-and-pot-files/My second solution (since you downloaded the po and mo files) is simpler.
You just need to rename the files you downloaded so that they look like (example with spanish):- event-tickets-es_ES.mo and event-tickets-es_ES.po
- event-tickets-plus-es_ES.po and event-tickets-plus-es_ES.mo
- the-events-calendar-es_ES.po and the-events-calendar-es_ES.mo
- tribe-events-calendar-pro-es_ES.po and tribe-events-calendar-pro-es_ES.mo
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Jason,
Thank you for the system information and for the login invitation.
Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability. That being said, I still believe this is due do to some type of conflict (in this case Javascript based) that we can pinpoint and hopefully fix.
The next step would be to go through our complete testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
If that’s not possible, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Or could you at least temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme as suggested before to see if that fixes it ?Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Greg,
As promised, I followed up on the second issue and it looks like September 12th’s release won’t solve that.
But, now that things are falling into place, our WPML wizard Dev will start working on it and it should not be a huge thing to fix.Best regards,

MemberGood evening Brian,
The most likely tweak to that is that the hardcoded width value will be replaced by a dynamic CSS rule that would be more convenient to tweak for our users.
So either way, you will most likely want to tweak the above CSS rule to your liking.
With that in mind, I will submit that for review.
Is there anything else I can help you with on this question ?
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Ann,
Thank you for that super thorough and detailed feedback and kudos for running all these tests!
At this point, if I am not mistaken, the “white” hover issue is gone, but the link issue persists.
Can you confirm ?This issue started about the same time I installed our SSL certificate so all urls start with https. It goes away when I change themes to any of the default themes.
I believe this might be at play. Could you expand on how you handled the changes of URLs from http to https on your install ? (via an SQL conversion script ? simply changing the site’s address in Settings > General ? Etc..)
The other thing that might sometimes interfere are redirection plugins (I am not sure how this one is configured, but I am pretty sure that even when you deactivate the plugin, the rules it writes in your .htaccess file stay there).
I still believe there is a good chance we can solve the issue by looking at these 2 points.
With that in mind, I have to say that you came up with a very nice workaround.
I’ll have to ask if we can extend the snippet to open in a new tab. I’ll get back to you on this.
As for the Venue code, you have to do a template override / customization. As the knowledge base article suggests, you might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
In a nutshell:
- You make a copy of the venue file
- You upload that file in [yourtheme]/tribe-events/meta/venue.php
- You tweak that file according to the instructions
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Kimberley,
Thank you for the system information.
I ran some additional tests now that your site is up and my conclusions remain the same.
Your theme’s archive-pagination functionality consists of simply adding the “/page/2/” suffix to the current URL.
In some cases that works, but with complex views and filtering it falls short. This is because our plugin’s pagination system uses variables in the URL (e.g.: http://businesseventscairns.org.au/events/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-date=2016-09-01&tribe_eventcategory=150)
So at this point, you have a couple of options available to you:
- Customize your theme’s archive-pagination functionality to behave differently for tribe events or hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
- Simply hide the theme’s pagination on our calendar pages using CSS
.post-type-archive-tribe_events .archive-pagination {display:none}Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Malcolm,
I’m glad that this solution worked out for you.
To answer your question, this plugin won’t create any conflict if you change themes down the road.
However, it might create an unnecessary margin 😉
Because this rule is basically custom to compensate with the way your current theme works. The good news is that it’s super easy to remove (as you saw).
Having your Devs add it to the child theme is also a great idea. In the end, it’s totally up to you.As for providing feedback, there are several ways to do this. I’ll let you decide:
- Once this thread is closed, a magic feedback box will appear for your usage
- You are always welcome to hit us up on Twitter
