Good morning Neil and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience this bug has created.

Clement is absolutely right on all counts (the workaround and the fact that it’s far from being a great solution, even if it works). Thank you for chiming in Clement.

This is one of our top priority bugs to fix at this point. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good morning Chase and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issues the version of Select2 we are using is creating with WooCommerce Memberships.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As it turns out, the good news is that we have already planned an upgrade of the version of Select2. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the update is released.

As per your specific issue, would you mind expanding a bit on what is happening exactly ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good morning Paul and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Above is the code I created and it is still showing a list of all the countries on the page that it is embedded to? Is there a certain code for each country or where am I able to access that information?

Actually, this specific shortcode will not work because the “country=” is not a filter, but rather a parameter to choose if you want to display the country or not (accepted values are “yes” or “no”) in the list of events. You can find that same option in the advanced list widget.

However, right now it is adding events with the world-golf-scramble category that don’t have the tag of international on them? Is there a way to set it so that both the category and tag have to be selected in order for it to appear?

This is a great question. I have checked our code and it turns out that supplying multiple filter parameters acts as a “OR”, not as “AND” by default.

I will open a ticket for that. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when fix is released.

In the meantime, as a workaround you could use the Advanced List widget which lets you control that.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning Steven,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that our plugin did not meet your expectations in these areas.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that the full calendar shortcode is actually scheduled to be released in the first week of October (version 4.3) if all goes according to plan.

We totally understand where you are coming from and many of our awesome customers felt the same way you did, which is why we worked hard at finally being able to release this feature.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Bon lundi!

    Good evening Greg,

This is an awesome in depth analysis of additional steps towards a much better integration of WPML.

The scenario we should have is that if a translation does not exist of a post/event, the default language version is displayed.
This works for regular Blog posts, with WPML’s inbuilt functionality. Found in WPML -> Languages -> Blog Posts To Display.

Having an extra option similar to Blog Posts To Display would provide great control over how our calendar is integrated and what behaviour it should have.
I will open a separate ticket for that type of integration. In fact, as I do that I will try to see if we could not come up with a snippet to do just that.

That being said, you are right, this option in WPML is only meant for blog posts that go through the main blog loop, nothing else unfortunately.

I’ll talk to our main Dev about workaround possibilities on Monday and get back to you.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Henny,

Thank you for writing back and for checking things out.

By the looks of it, there seems to be some database level corruption going on with these older events.
It is possible that this was caused by the post duplicator. Normally custom post duplicators do work however, including this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-tec-event/

After a database backup, the simplest solution would be to either:

    1. Update the location manually in the database using phpMyAdmin
    2. Recreate these events from scratch (perhaps while using the duplicator plugin) and deleting the “broken” events.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
