I’m super confused and hope you can help.

Trying to set up a Workshop Event and normally the ticket box appears at the bottom but instead nothing is there.

At the top of my screen I get:
To begin using Event Tickets Plus, please install and activate the latest version of Event Tickets.
To begin using WooTickets, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.

Yet when checked both are up to date and are working. Even though this says they aren’t.
When I go to the settings and license I get:
There is an update available for WooTickets but your license key is invalid. Visit the Events Calendar website to view your licenses.

Yet my license when logged in says that it is valid until 28th January 2017.

I am very confused and would really appreciate a hit of how to fix this or to what has gone wrong.
    Thank you!

Good evening Sue and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the confusion the update process created.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Before we begin, I would advise to make a complete database backup of your site.

What is going on is that we have replaced Wootickets with Event Tickets Plus last fall.
In fact, we are in the process of phasing out Wootickets completely.

In other words, the ideal scenario is to migrate from Wootickets to Event Tickets Plus.
You can achieve that following this guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/

At the end of the process, you will no longer need to use the wootickets plugin.

This should also solve your licensing issues.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

Thanks for this. I followed the guide.

However, I’m still getting an error message for the Events Tickets plugin and therefore the licence key isn’t displaying.

It’s telling me to install the Event Ticket plugin, I’ve deactivated and reactivated. No go.
I’ve uninstalled it and now tells me it can’t reinstall because it’s all ready there.

    Thanks, Sue.

    Good afternoon Sue,

    Thank you for writing back.

The message you have provided me with can be resolved in a couple of ways:

    1. Go to your Plugins menu
    2. Find the Event Tickets plugin, deactivate and delete it
    3. Add it back using the Add new plugin option

If that does not work, you can manually delete the entire folder found at /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets.
This can be done via FTP or your cPanel’s file manager.

Once that is done, you should be able to install the latest version of Event tickets and finish the transition.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

Thank you so much for your help!

I got my VA to do the FTP bit as that was a bit too technical for me but it has worked and everything is back up and running!

Thank you so much for your advice and support!

    You have been extremely helpful!
