    Good evening Harold,

For the overly big selectors, try the following CSS:

    .tribe_community_edit .chosen-container {
    max-width: 220px !important;
    }

As per your second question, you might want to take a look at these 2 links:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/categories-as-a-drop-down-list/
    2. http://pastebin.com/jg2hr5yz

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Jarle,

    Thank you for writing back.

After our conversation, I did some more digging (after all the awesome Event Aggregator is new to us).

It turns out that the 2 month expiry thing is normal, and it’s dictated by FB. That’s how long they allow you to be signed in/connected like this.

There’s no need to reset it- he’ll be prompted to do so when needed so basically, you can simply stop worrying about that bit 🙂

In other words, you are not doing anything wrong.

    Have a good week-end,

    Good evening Preben,

I am sorry to hear this is not working even after the update.

    Would you mind:

    1. Telling me which language you are using
    2. Providing me with a URL where I can see the missing translations
    3. Tell me if there are any calendar related translations found in your /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder ?

Hang in there as we figure this out

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Arne,

Thank you for your understanding and kudos for finding the files on your own.

To answer your question, there are a couple of ways to tackle this.

But the easiest is probably through a plugin such as: https://wordpress.org/plugins/stops-core-theme-and-plugin-updates/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Nicolo’,

The issue is caused by the type of quotation marks you are using.

They absolutely have to be straight : ”

Other quotation marks will not work, such as : ” (which is what you have in the example above).

    The correct string should be

    [tribe_events_list categories=”category2, category1″ limit=”3″]

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Alex,

    Thank you for writing back.

That is a great question. You are correct, as much as the full calendar can have it’s own page (customized to your need), the single event will follow the page template chosen in Events -> Settings -> Display (Events Template). For Divi, built-in,  that is a choice between: Blank Page, Page default or Events default.

Of course, keep in mind that you could also add other page templates to that selection should you want to (custom page templates).

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Craig and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

Are you able to scan tickets using an app on a smartphone?

Yes you can. As long as you have a QR code reader app and that you are logged-in your website with proper credentials you are good to go.

Is there the ability to create group tickets that have a lower limit/ minimum quantity order?

We hand-off all of the transactional aspect of things to the e-commerce plugin of your choice.
Most people choose to use WooCommerce for that purpose.

So the short answer is yes, you can achieve that (via a WooCommerce plugin or some WooCommerce related customization).

However, this is not built-in in our plugin.

Are you able to add tickets through the backend? If not is there a “hidden” or workaround ticket?

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this question. Would you mind expanding a bit on this ?

In the meantime, tickets are created via WordPress backend. By default these tickets are really “Simple Virtual” products that are “hidden” from the store by default.

Is there a demo that I can try out the software?

You can see our plugins in action here: http://wpshindig.com/events/

Additionally, you can try our plugin risk-free.

The reason for that is that you can get a refund, as long as you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.

What are the features in terms of setting up event pages (like Tickera or other competitors)?

Our features are pretty well summarized here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

We have a pretty rock-solid offer that covers most situations as you can see.

Furthermore, pretty much everything is customizable as far as the views and behaviours are concerned. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Kristopher and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the JS error creeping up on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.

My first recommendation would be to update the Events Calendar Pro plugin to it’s latest version (4.3.1.1) as matching versions are always recommended when possible.

Secondly, if that does not solve the issue.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1. Make a backup of your database
    2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Lo and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have faced while trying to display the single event full width. I would love to help you with this topic.

Most of the display issues can usually be tweaked via the Events -> Settings -> Display screen.

However, in certain themes, such as Avada, most views have gone through some template customizations.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Basically, Avada has included a custom version of the single event view in the /tribe-events/ folder of their theme.

You simply need to remove the desired customizations by either:

    1. Renaming the files of views you no longer want to be customized in the /tribe-events/ folder of their theme (e.g: z_single-event.php)
    2. Editing their customized files to your liking.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Ben and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As it turns out, this is “normal”.
Event aggregator is not a separate plugin, but rather a service.

As such, the code is already in the Events Calendar plugin. You simply need to enter your license key in the appropriate spot.

Please read the following to get it up and running: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-aggregator/

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Sébastien and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have been experiencing with these translations.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that the “Search” string should be translatable to “Recherche”. The reason I know this is because I just switched to French with the latest versions of our plugins and it shows wonderfully.

But, I am also noticing that you are a release behind. In that previous release, we did indeed have some issues with language files. The easiest solution would be to update to our latest versions (4.3.1.x).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
