Hide sidebar on every single event

Hi there, I am getting stuck with the single event pages. For some reason no matter what I change I don’t get the single event page to show full width. Can I ask you how to fix this, or do I need to talk to Avada about this?

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have faced while trying to display the single event full width. I would love to help you with this topic.

Most of the display issues can usually be tweaked via the Events -> Settings -> Display screen.

However, in certain themes, such as Avada, most views have gone through some template customizations.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Basically, Avada has included a custom version of the single event view in the /tribe-events/ folder of their theme.

You simply need to remove the desired customizations by either:

1. Renaming the files of views you no longer want to be customized in the /tribe-events/ folder of their theme (e.g: z_single-event.php)
2. Editing their customized files to your liking.

I was having the same issue with the sidebar. Changing the the Basic Template Settings—really just selecting the Events Template to Default Events Template and Default Stylesheet Used to Tribe Events Styles—did the trick. Thanks!
