Good evening Grant and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the layout not being to your liking.
I would love to help you with this topic.

From what I can see, it does not even look like our plugin is generating that view.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, if you have any other event plugin in place, please temporarily deactivate it.

    Hang in there!

Good evening Anne and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the missing translation.
I would love to help you with this topic.

When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:

    1. Your translation files are not up to date
    2. You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
    3. The strings are translated, but are considered “fuzzy”

In the first 2 cases, the solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.

In the last case, you will need to make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.

In yor specific case, I believe the culprit is the events-tickets language file needing an update (using the pot file).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Vince and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are actually a few options available to you to do that:

    1. You could use the Events Calendar Pro’s full view shortcodes
    2. You could use an URL to define the categories displayed

I would also recommend reading the following that summarizes it all: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/can-you-have-multiple-calendars/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Erik and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Based on your system information, it looks like you still need to install and activate the Events Calendar Pro and Event Tickets Plus.

At the time of writing, only the Events Calendar (free) and Event Tickets (free) seem to be installed. You actually need to have both the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro as well as both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus installed for things to work.

Once you do, additional license slots will appear under Events > Settings > Licences

You can grab a copy of the premium add-ons from here: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

To install it, simply follow these instructions:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/
    2. http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/

Let me know how that goes.

Good evening Chris and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the “Archive” title creeping up on your website.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

What seems to be going on is that your theme is generating that title when it perceives the use of WordPress’ archive templates (which our calendar relies on).

To see this in action, you can try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen.

The first thing to try in order to fix this would be to change the template for Events template under Events -> Settings -> Display to see if that helps.

If that does not work, look at your theme options to see if you cannot change the “Archive” label by something else.

Last but not least, we have an awesome tutorials on that topic here:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-events-calendar-with-constants/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/calendar-page-shows-event-title/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Sarmapan,

That is some pretty awesome news!

Thank you for sharing your process. Sometimes deactivating and reactivating plugins goes a long way! The important part is that it worked and that you are now a happy camper!

You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great weekend!

    Good evening Ernesto,

Good catch, that is because this option somehow generates a Javascript error on the page with your setup.

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery.cookie is not a function
    at Object.<anonymous> (language-cookie.js:3)
    at Function.each (jquery.min.js:2)
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (language-cookie.js:2)
    at i (jquery.js:2)
    at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js:2)
    at Function.ready (jquery.js:2)
    at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.js:2)

This is most likely a form of conflict (either with your theme or another plugin).
When Javascript errors like that occur, they break other Javascript tasks such as rendering the map.

Another interesting point (as I was saying previously) is that if you are logged-in the faulty language load does not happen at all (even with the option checked off).

At this point, there are 2 things I would recommend:

    1. Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if that fixes things (you could use a temporary maintenance page plugin for that purpose)
    2. Reach out to the WPML team about the Javascript error when using the Ajax option

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Eric,

I am super stoked to see things are moving along for you.

To answer your last question, we do not have an Eventbrite events import feature.
But we do have the next best thing: Eventbrite tickets integration.

You can check it out here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/

    Have a great day!
