ParticipantI purchased the PRO version after I could not make the FREE version format my site like the “showcase” website: https://santacruzmah.org/event/community-rental-french-classes-beginner-1/2018-01-15/
How do I get my website to function like theirs with your plugin?

MemberGood evening Grant and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the layout not being to your liking.
I would love to help you with this topic. From what I can see, it does not even look like our plugin is generating that view.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Secondly, if you have any other event plugin in place, please temporarily deactivate it.
Hang in there!

MemberSorry about the last message.
It is actually the other way around: https://santacruzmah.org/event/community-rental-french-classes-beginner-1/2018-01-15/ is not using our calendar.
With that in mind, there are a couple of things you can do to tweak the appearance of your website to your liking:
- Try different settings under Events -> Settings -> Display for the first 2 options on that page to see if that helps
- You can move things around and create custom views using template overrides. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- Finally, how things look will depend a lot on the WordPress theme you are using. Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see what I mean by that (perhaps with a “maintenance page” plugin activated so that your customers don’t see that
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantThen why do you list them on your website as a Showcase Site? This “view” is why I purchased a $159 business license…

MemberGood afternoon Grant,
I can totally understand how you feel. My apologies for not communicating what I meant properly.
What is going on is that this specific website removed our plugin from their website after we decided to showcase them.
If you look at the screenshots at https://theeventscalendar.com/showcase/santa-cruz-museum-of-art-history/ you will see what I mean by that.
As you can imagine, we do not have the means to track down such changes (other then when this is reported to us). So thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will update the showcase page accordingly.
That being said, their previous version of the calendar looked much better than what they have in place currently.
The other thing worth noting is that their previous template (when they used the Events Calendar) still included a few customizations.
To summarize, you should be able to get views that are pretty close to the showcase screenshots provided that you tweak them to your liking a tad (I can help you get started with that – its actually much simpler than it sounds).
In the end, I do believe that this would result in a much better looking calendar than what the Santa Cruz museum is currently using.
Have a great day!
