Good afternoon Nelson and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have faced with the plugin update process.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Based on your system information, you are still a few versions behind (4.3) for Pro. The latest version should be 4.4.1

Hans makes a good point, we are working on a fix to make sure automated updates are always visible.

If they don’t, you have 2 workarounds:

    1. Try deactivating and reactivating Pro (sometimes that enables the update)
    2. If that does not work, simply deactivate and delete Pro altogether (which is safe). Then, head over to https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/ and grab the latest version of Pro. When that’s done, you can install it manually.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Jon,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about 4.4 not being downloadable on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Since you are long time customer, I would like to offer the latest versions of Pro for your enjoyment.

However, I cannot do so in a private reply since this has been posted in the pre-sales forum.
If you could repost this in the Event Tickets Plus forum and reference this thread, I could do just that.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Natalie and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the tickets form disappearing from your events page. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

After a quick look at your website, I am indeed seeing quite a few events with tickets.
Would it be possible to give me an example of an event that stopped displaying tickets ?

Finally, could you please send me a screenshot of both the Edit Event screen and Edit ticket screens for that event ?

    Hang in there!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Stefan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the lack of ticket section in the front-end.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, can you tell me if you are able to create a ticket in the backend ?

Finally, would it be possible to get a screenshot of your Events -> Settings -> Tickets screen ?

    Hang in there!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello again Anna-Mariya,

    This is a great question.

Based on that message, it seems like your site might actually be installed as part of a multisite server. The message is popping up because you have a personal license (not a multisite license).

I would recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/

To summarize, it is totally cool to use a personal license on a single site located on a multisite installation. However, the drawback is that automatic updates will not be available. You will have to perform them manually.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Anna-Mariya and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the login to purchase prompt being displayed on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are 2 places where you can probably fix this:

    1. If you go to Events -> Settings -> Tickets (look for the login requirements section)
    2. If you go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout (look for the checkout process section)

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Clemvio and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I would highly recommend going through the following step-by-step: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/

As you can see, you first need to download the Pro plugin and install it for the license key box to appear.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Jaime and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the 404 error page you received after changing your slugs to grupos.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are a couple of things that might be going on:

    1. After any change in slug, you should re-save your permalinks (General > Permalinks in wp-admin)
    2. You have to make sure you do not have a real page that has the “grupos” slug. The calendar does not require you to create such a page. More importantly, it needs complete monopoly over the “grupos” slug. If you have such a page, you will need to remove it or change its slug.
    3. You could try going through the following guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Leanne and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have faced while trying to implement our calendar on your site. I would love to help you with this topic.

The “Calendar” link actually does not appear automatically in the menu.
You will need to add it.

You can do that using the “Custom link” option found under Appearance > Menu in wp-admin.

In your specific case, the URL will read http://papercrew.ca/events/

I am unable to create an “Events” page. I entered a recurring/multiple event using Event Series, it only appears in the original month (February) but isn’t recurring into the next month (March).

That is very odd indeed. Could you please send me a screenshot of your settings under Events -> Settings -> General ?

    Hang in there!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon stephan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch impacting the view all link.
We are actively working on a fix for this.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point, although it is scheduled for next maintenance release.

But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.

Thank you for your patience as we see this through.

In the meantime, the only known workaround is to remove the translation of the link in your language files (po/mo). In other words, to purposely remove the “alle” translation for now.

These files can be found in the following locations:

    1. /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang
    2. /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/lang

Let me know if you need assistance with that.

    Best regards,

in reply to: How to get rid of shortcode? #1225565

    Good evening Julie,

Thank you for writing back and for the system information.

I will try to address each point individually to keep things nice and tidy.

Basically, if you look in your theme or child theme¹s folder, try to see if there is a /tribe-events/ folder. ‹‹> I don¹t see

If there is such a folder, you should see this in /wp-content/themes/highend/ or in /wp-content/themes/highend-child/

To access those files, you will need an FTP client or the file manager from your CPanel interface.

So in other words this is not in WordPress itself, but rather directly on your server.

If that is too complex, as a test, could you temporarily switch themes and see if the problem persists while using a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen ?

Additionally, I do not think you will need the Events Calendar shortcode plugin anymore (but this is your call). ‹‹-Do I then deactivate by simply clicking ³deactivate²?

Yes, simply clicking deactivate should do it. But, you will need to replace your old shortcodes with the new ones (they do not have the exact same syntax).

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.
