Good evening Marlo and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the missing translations you are seeing on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.

When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:

    1. Your translation files are not up to date
    2. You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
    3. The strings are translated, but are considered “fuzzy”

In the first 2 cases, the solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.

In the last case, you will need to make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.

In your specific case, you might have to use the Poedit interface to update things.

Additionally, the untranslated strings you are pointing to are actually not part of the Events Calendar Pro, but rather of the Events Calendar language files.

This is because the Events Calendar Pro extends the Events Calendar. It does not replace it.

    1. The string you are looking for resembles %1$s for %2$s , %1$s for %2$s – %3$s or %s for
    2. The string you are looking for is “Export events”
    3. The string you are looking for resembles All, all or All %s

Be careful as some of them have several instances.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Matteo and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products. It’s truly appreciated.

However, please note that we do not offer support for our free plugin in this premium add-ons forum.

But, the good news is that you are still welcome to consult this forum to your liking and browse it for solutions, snippets and tutorials.

If you don’t mind, in the future could you please post your support questions here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar or perhaps consider the purchase of one of our premium plugins to get access to premium support ?

With that in mind, it appears that no ticket RSVP ticket has been created for that specific event. You need to save the ticket before saving the event itself.

Additionally, if you are looking to sell tickets through WooCommerce, you will need to grab a copy of Event Tickets Plus: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Philipp and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the maps not showing up on your single events page.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Here are the recommended next troubleshooting steps to see what is causing this. Please check after every step:

    1. Even though you have setup your Google Maps API key, please make sure you read the following in great details as APIs requirements are far more severe nowadays: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/
    2. Go to the Erlenbach venue and make sure that the “Use latitude + longitude” setting is checked
    3. Google the venue name (Erlenbach) and use Google’s exact address format (Dorfstrasse 2, 8703 Erlenbach, Switzerland) in the Venue screen. No more no less
    4. Walk over to Events -> Settings -> General and look for a “Merge duplicate venues” button. If there is one, click on it
    5. Although this might sound counter intuitive, temporarily remove the Google Maps API key for Events -> Settings -> APIs
    6. Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen

I would like to show at the homepage in the widget area a box of the current events or new posted events. How can I do this?

Normally, you should at least get some basic widgets (like the list widget) with the free the Events Calendar plugin.

However, things start to get far more interesting with the Events Calendar Pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

This allows you to use advanced widgets and shortcodes. You can even embed full views on pages:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Greg,

For some reason, I am not seeing the google Drive or Dropbox link.
Would you mind trying to send it using the forum (web) interface as opposed to the e-mail reply ?

On the plus side, I now have your system information. Thank you!

    Hang in there!

    Good evening Anna,

I was about to tell you that we can always cheat a bit with CSS, but a quick look at https://kingofkingswc.com/ tells me you have already found a solution.

    Can you confirm?

    Good evening Rich,

Users can amend the attendee data themselves.

The simplest way to achieve this is to:

    1. Login to your site with their user credentials
    2. Navigate to the Event’s page

They should see a link with a text along the lines of “You have X ticket(s) for this event”

Clicking on this link they are provided with the ability on modifying the attendee data.

You can test this out if you have a user-switching plugin.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Gernot,

At my colleague Cliff’s request, I will be stepping in because of my experience with sites in different languages.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, just to be extra sure, when you say that the recurring events date are not translated, are you referring to

    Weitere Termine:
    2. February 2018 ab 8:30am
    14. September 2018 ab 8:30am

According to my limited German, that should read Februar.

If that is not what you are referring to, could you please provide a screenshot to make sure we are on the same page.

    Hang in there!

    Good evening Alyson,

That is a great question it has been at the very top of our new feature list for a while now.
In fact, we re-built our recurring events architecture from scratch to be able to support that.

If all goes well, the tentative date for this level of effort would be Q1 of next year.
    Fingers crossed.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have unfortunately.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Adam,

    Thank you for writing back.

It looks like the screenshot did not make it alas. Would you mind sending it again ?

By the sound of it, it sounds like the combination of ticket refund and cancelation caused some kind of perceived stock discrepancy on that event.

To test this theory, you could simply create a free test event very far in the future (so that nobody knows) and see if the issue still arises. If I am correct, that test event will behave correctly.

In other words, it is quite possible that this specific ticket became “corrupted” (as far as stock tracking in concerned).

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
