MemberGood afternoon George and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. There are a couple of things you could do.
The simplest idea would be to create a new category called home-page.This will let you hand pick what events you are promoting. The downside being that you will need to manually update it. That is unless you make all of the events from those categories also in the new category.
Another idea worth exploring is tweaking the widget list view for your home page.
This can be achieved with CSS which would get you a look that is very close to the photo view. The upside of this is that widget shortcodes offer way more options: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

I would love to help you with this topic.I highly recommend reading the 3 following articles on translation:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-override-plugin-language-files/
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/incomplete-translations/
This should help you investigate each of your language files, see what level they are translated at and even “fill in the blanks”.
I am not sure which variation of Spanish you are using, but from what I can tell, Spanish from Spain is currently set at 92% completion.
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic.I have set up recurring events and I’m selling tickets for the series of events.
As a side note, I am not sure if you knew this, but we do not yet fully support integration between Event Tickets Plus and recurring events.
It will still work for some specific cases, but there will definitely be some limitations until full compatibility is achieved.
I assumed the event would still show up even after the start date had passed.
It absolutely should display, but what is going on is that your other setting (display first event of the series only) is interfering.
What you would need is a customization that either:
- Displays the first recurring event even after it has ended in the photo view
- Displays only the next upcoming recurring event in the photo view
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
should I have a regular event instead of a recurring one in the future?
That is totally another option.
I do not know if that would work for you, but you could also have one big event that lasts for the whole length of the course.
For example an event that has a start date of today and an end date of April 2018.
This way the event would display until the end date is met.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Craig and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. The simplest way to achieve this would be to grab a copy our the Events Calendar Pro premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
This adds many awesome features to the Events Calendar. One of them is the concept of recurring events. This would provide you exactly the display you are looking for.
The other option is to attempt a customization. You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

I would love to help you with this topic. When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:
- Your translation files are not up to date
- You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
- The strings are translated, but are considered “fuzzy”
In the first 2 cases, the solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.
In the last case, you will need to make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.
With that in mind, I am noticing that you are using an older version of Event Tickets Plus.
That is fine, but you should know that to work properly our plugins need to be at matching versions (released around the same time). In your case, that means that unless you are willing to renew your Event Tickets Plus license, you will need to “freeze” your Event Tickets license to a matching version (not update it).
In fact, you can do this right now (I suspect this will solve the issue): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Del,
First off, I am very sorry to hear that your server crashed. Yikes!
It sounds like you might be using WordPress built-in text-editor to edit your theme files.I would highly recommend using FTP access with a text editor software instead. That makes it easy to undo any change you might make.
As an alternative, you can even use the file manager from your CPanel.
PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Tribe__Events__Remove__Export__Links in /nas/content/live/cliftonclub/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 116
What this message is saying is that you already have another piece of competing code (either in functions.php itself or from having the remove links plugin activated).
Either way, you will need to get rid of that code before you can implement the one I sent you.
To find out where the competing code is and remove it, simply do a search with the following string in your functions.php file Tribe__Events__Remove__Export__LinksYou will need to remove the complete existing function declaration for this to work.
Once no competing code is in place, you can safely paste the one I suggested to you.If you are unsure, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Paul and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.once we get to the new site, we no longer have the use for the calendar on that first site. Will that still count as one of the licenses or can it be disabled?
The great news is that you are free to move your licenses around as you wish.
In fact, it is fairly simple to do: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/is there any chance for a trial?
We do not have a trial version available.
However we do have an awesome 30 day money-back guarantee.
You are fully entitled to a refund if you need one as long as you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

September 14, 2017 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Where can I see a breakdown of per tickets purchases #1349523Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Amy and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.I am looking to be able to view a detailed breakdown of tickets sold/pending/cancelled/deleted orders.
For example lets say I have multiple ticket types for an event. How would I view how many people bought a certain ticket and a breakdown of people who bought that certain ticket type?
The best way to get that type of information is through a WooCommerce report.
By default we offer a link to the built-in WooCommerce reports.
There are however several other more advanced WooCommerce reporting plugins out there.
I would recommend researching these as well just to give you an idea of what is possible. The ticket totals are up top but those seem to be wrong if someone has been deleted or cancelled.
If you are encountering issues with the totals after ticket cancelations or refunds, I would highly recommend reading the following guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-cancel-tickets-order/
Following these steps will ensure that your totals in the Event Tickets Plus reports are accurate.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood afternoon Gurdeep,
Thank you for writing back.
About number 13, yes, the number of attendees (tickets sold and amount) is made “public” for them. Provided they are aware of the arrangement you made with them (what percentage they are getting), they should be able to figure out how much they have made for any specific event.
One more thing can i buy the software and test what it can do and ask for refund, if it does cover over needs.
You are fully entitled to a refund if you want one as long as you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.
Can you help with custom features if needed.
Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.
We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
With that in mind we have a fairly large base of snippets, extensions and documentation on accomplishing a lot of things.
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

MemberGood afternoon William,
Does that mean I am going to have to buy multiple install license, or can I use the single site? I don’t want to have to buy it twice when the first time I am buying to see if it will all work together. (Hope that makes sense:)
Unless you really want to, you do not need to buy multiple licenses to run things on a test site.
You can read all about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
