MemberGood evening Paula and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you are encountering with the Events Calendar Pro updates.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
When you say the calendar does not update, do you mean:
- That you wish updates were automatically applied without notifying you ?
- That you are unable to click on the update button to update the plugin ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the event title showing up as the title of your calendar view.
I would love to help you with this topic.Full disclosure that can happen with certain specific WordPress theme.
The good news is that the following article usually helps fix that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/calendar-page-shows-event-title/Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Tom,
Thank you for writing back.
I am sorry that did not work. As you can read in the article I referenced previously, you actually need to tweak the snippet to target the strings you want to modify before pasting it in your theme’s functions.php file.
In this case that would mean replacing ‘Venue’ => ‘Location’ by something like ‘Organizer’ => ‘Organiser’.
In any case , I think you might actually prefer the following extension which is super user-friendly: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/change-labels-events-venues-organizers/
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic.Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
.tribe-bar-disabled .tribe-bar-filters .tribe-bar-date-filter {
display: none !important;
}Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Renaud and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have bumped into while using our Calendar with Polylang Pro.
Truth be told, we are just about to run some tests to validate Polylang Pro’s compatibility with our plugins.
I know for a fact that we collaborated with their team recently to help make this a reality.
As a result, they have announced compatibility on their end as of version 2.2 of their plugin. At this point, your best guess is to reach out to them to validate the configuration they recommend for this.
Best regards,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not processing as easily as expected.
I would love to help you with this topic.Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Secondly, here are a couple of things to test on your end. At each point, please test the creating of a recurring event to see if all instances are created:
- Could you ask to increase your PHP max_execution_time = 45 to something like 300 ?
- It looks like you are using both WP Rocket and SG Optimizer. Depending on your settings on any of these, there could be some conflicts at play since they are both doing “the same job”. Could you try deactivating one or both and making sure you empty the cache after creating the events “the first time”.
- Could you remove any Javascript-based caching in WP Rocket
- Could you make sure caching is not activated for logged-in users.
- Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen (after activating a maintenance page plugin).
Let me know how that goes.
