MemberHello there, Beth! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble here with how events are filtered in the list widget.
I totally hear what you’re saying, but that’s unfortunately how the Upcoming Events widget is intended to function. However, perhaps you can give the workaround provided in this thread a try to see if it works for you.
I do see a similar request for this feature over on our UserVoice page. If having more control over what displays in the Upcoming Events widget is something you’d like to see in a future release, I’d suggest adding your vote. 🙂
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Nancy, and welcome to the forums! Sorry you’re hitting some trouble here with events displaying in your homepage feed of posts. Let’s try to figure out what’s happening together.
Any time I’ve seen this sort of thing happen in the past, it’s because the homepage is actually set up with a custom query of posts rather than the latest posts alone. Is it possible this is the case as well?
One way to check is to activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Fourteen. I see that you noted trying this already. Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating the Spectrum theme and activating Twenty Fourteen instead?
And, just for good measure, will you please confirm that you have run through the steps outlined in our Testing for Conflicts Guide?
Please give that a try and let me know what you find. That will help us first determine if there is a theme conflict or plugin conflict at play and will help guide us which direction to go. 🙂
Cheers!
GeoffP.S. I’m going to move this thread from the Community Events forum to The Events Calendar PRO. It will have the same URL, but will be easier to find this way. 🙂

MemberHi Sara, and welcome to the forums! We hope you’re enjoying the plugin so far. 🙂
Good question and sorry about the link–some of our links got crossed when we recently relaunched this site and it appears this was one of them. Here is the link you are looking for:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
That should give a very thorough overview of how custom recurring events work. In short, you will be able to set a recurring event the occurs from Friday to Sunday and repeat that each week. The tutorial will walk you through those steps.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know and thanks again for reaching out.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Kevin! Thanks for getting in touch.
If you head over to Events > Settings > Filters, then you can set the Cost filter so that the “Events are considered free when the cost field is” option is “Empty or set to zero” (screenshot). This will allow both Free events and events with an empty cost to show up when the Filter Bar price range is at zero.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi there, Bob! Thanks for getting in touch.
You can resend any of the transactions emails, including tickets, right in WooCommerce > Orders. Click on the order in question, head up to the Order Actions box in the top right corner (screenshot), select the email you would like to resend, then hit the “Save Order” button.

MemberHi, Johan! Thanks for following up.
Visitors can subscribe to one category at a time. To see a feed, you can add /feed to the end of any category URL. For example: [your-site]/events/category/[category-slug]/feed
Since it seems like we’ve covered your original question, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. Please feel free to start a new if you have any additional questions and we’d be happy to help you out there. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there, James! Nice to see you again. 🙂
Good question. I was able to remove the times for past events using the following snippet. However, the effect only seems to take hold when the page is refreshed. This will be a good starting place to get you going though.

MemberHi there, Tony! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the plugins.
Good question and the answer is no…not yet at least. It’s a feature we’re looking into as part of a an overhaul to our ticketing framework, but there are no set dates planned for when that would be released.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberAwesome, I’m glad that helps!
To get the Tribe bar to show up, you’ll need to enqueue the scripts and styles for it on the page you are creating. Try using this snippet as an example of where to get started.
Note that the example checks if the current page is the home page. You will want to change that condition to the specific page you are building.
Let me know if this helps. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Jayc!
Good question. You’re not missing anything, there’s just no easy way to embed a ticket form on other pages.
You could certainly use link people directly to single event pages – which you could customize to look just like your existing pages. However, I’m afraid that simply embedding the ticket form is not a feature right out of the box.
We are always taking feature suggestions on our UserVoice page, embedding ticket forms is something you’d us to consider. In fact, I found a similar request that you might want to add your vote to.
Also can I upgrade the license to a Business 3 site license?
Definitely! You can upgrade your license at any time right here on this site by heading to My Account > License Keys, then clicking the Upgrade option next to the license you want to upgrade. The cost will only be the difference between the two licenses rather than the cost of a full new license. Y0u can read more about our upgrade process here.

MemberHello there, Paul! Thanks for getting in touch–we’re stoked to hear you’re looking to go PRO. 🙂
Yes, Custom Fields are compatible with the calendar but, like other WordPress templates, you may need to specify directly where they display in the template. We have a Themer’s Guide that walks you through the ins and outs of customizing calendar templates for things just like this.
This isn’t PRO-specific, so if you already have the free version of the calendar, you can test your work there. Might be nice to test drive that feature, but I also want to let you know we have a full 30-day refund policy if things don’t work out when you go PRO.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

GeoffJanuary 16, 2015 at 8:21 am in reply to: Price range filter bar: events without tickets not shown #933726Geoff
MemberHey there!
That’s correct: the Filter Bar will display both Free and no-cost events when the Cost range is set to $0-$0, by default.
You can head over to Events > Settings > Filters and change the Cost setting so that events are considered “free” only when the cost is specifically set to zero (screenshot). However, there is no way to do the reverse, which is to only consider events “free” is the cost field is left blank.
Does that help clarify things a bit? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!
