    Hello,

    This site is for a small museum that is only open Friday-Sunday. I bought the PRO theme yesterday thinking the Custom recurrence would work, but it seems a little more complicated. Any idea?

    I looked here, but the solution link was inactive. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/multiple-times-for-month-long-event/

    Hi Sara, and welcome to the forums! We hope you’re enjoying the plugin so far. 🙂

    Good question and sorry about the link–some of our links got crossed when we recently relaunched this site and it appears this was one of them. Here is the link you are looking for:

    That should give a very thorough overview of how custom recurring events work. In short, you will be able to set a recurring event the occurs from Friday to Sunday and repeat that each week. The tutorial will walk you through those steps.

    Thank you. I think I’m doing something wrong though, and for some reason the event listing seems to be building on itself: http://crmii.org/events/

    As you can see the first Friday of the event Mill Works is correct, and then the Saturday has 2 of the same event and then the Sunday has 3, and so on. The event still seems to be recurring during the week as well. Any suggestions?

    Ah yes, I see what’s happening. Try setting the Start Date and End Date for the same day so that:

    State Date & Time: 2015-01-16
    End Date & Time: 2015-01-16

    Right now, it thinks the first event in the series runs from January  16-March 31, then repeats from there. Change that and all should be cleaned up. 🙂
