MemberHi there,ย Jaakko! Welcome to the forums and sorry you’re hitting some trouble with venues showing up in the mini calendar widget.
What version are the plugin are you upgrading from? To my knowledge, the venue hasn’t been included in the mini calendar for quite some time–at least, it wasn’t a part of the version 3.9.
However, if you’re looking to include the venue, you could override theย pro/widgets/mini-calendar/single-day.php template and use theย tribe_get_venue() function to display the venue where you would like it to appear.
You can find more on template overrides here in our Themer’s Guide.
Cheers!

MemberAwesome! I’m glad you got the link you were after. ๐
You’ll probably need to fiddle with that snippet a bit to get exactly what you’re looking for, but you can add a conditional statement in there to ensure that only events from a specific category end up in the feed.
For example, that might look something like this on Line 14 of the snippet:
if ( ! tribe_is_event()ย && is_tax('category-slug')ย ) return;Here is a good list of the conditional statement examples you could possibly use. ๐
Cheers!

MemberAh, gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.
I do get one result when I set the Filter Bar cost range to zero:ย http://www.tinpanrva.com/calendar/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe_cost=0-0
Is there a reason this event shows up in the results and this event does not? In other words, are both events set up the same or in a different way that would prevent the latter from also showing up in the filter query? Strangely, the layout for the first event seems to be slightly different than the second, if you look closely.
A couple of other things to try:
- Use different slugs for the calendar and events. I noticed that both use “/calendar” but using the same slug can introduce quirks. For example, you might want to try “/calendar” for the calendar and “/show” for events.
- Check calendar versions. We just updated The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO last week. Are you running the latest version 3.9.1 for both? If not, please try updating and see if you notice a difference.
Lastly, I see that you noted trying to deactivate all other plugins and reverting to a default WordPress theme. Did you notice any change under those conditions? If you haven’t already, please follow the steps in our Testing for Conflicts Guide and confirm whether you notice any change.
Thanks!

MemberHi there, Joerg! Thanks for getting in touch. Never fear, your thread is most certainly open. ๐
First off, thanks for taking the plugin for a spin! It’s really the best way to get a feel for how the back end works and see how it might fir your specific needs–so, great work.
First of all i strongly need to avoid duplicates when a event takes place more than one time.
The good news here is that recurring events do not have the same impact as duplicated content. WordPress tries to add a canonical link during theย wp_head action and what The Events Calendar PRO does–when a single event in a recurring instance is being viewed–is remove the WordPress callback and substitutes it with its own. This helps each instance index as original content.
the next is that the dates if a event or course takes place on 3 times are displayed on one single event page (all dates together) and the customer can decided on which date he/she wants to attend.
That’s a nice feature request! In fact, we’d love it if you could add that to our UserVoice page as something to consider for a possible future release.
We would be more than happy to share a list of freelancers who might be able to help you out with this sort of custom development. Please drop us a line at support [at] theeventscalendar.com and we’ll send it over. You can reference this thread in the email for context.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know and thanks again for reaching out. ๐
Cheers!

MemberThanks for following up, Kevin!
What happens if you add a cost of “0” to the event? Does it display then?
Cheers!
