ParticipantI have sturggled with this with two different website, there is not supposed to be any taxes on event ticket sale in our local, but product sales do have taxes. Setting the tax classes up in WooCommerce causes all tickets created with WooCommerce Tickets to automatically have taxes. Currently, the site owners are forced to manually change the tax class on each individual ticket. There has got to be a better way.
Can you please let me know if there is something we can change in the code to correct this issue? Is there a setting I am missing somewhere.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

MemberHi there, Will! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re hitting some trouble with tax settings in WooCommerce having an effect on tickets.
You’re not missing anything. The nice thing about the WooTickets add-on is that it acts as a nice bridge between The Events Calendar and WooCommerce. Each time you’re setting up a ticket in an Event post, you’re really using WooCommerce functionality, thanks to WooTickets making that bridge.
At the same time, tickets are registered as Products in WooCommerce, meaning that they become a part of the WooCommerce system. Any WooCommerce settings you apply to Products will apply to tickets as well.
Your best bet is to refer to the WooCommerce documentation to see if there are ways to set up different tax rates on different Product types. For example, here is their tutorial on setting up tax rates. Additionally, I found this post on how to set up different tax rates on different items, that might help get you started.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution to provide, but hopefully this helps point you in the right direction. 🙂
Cheers!
