MemberAwesome, thanks Wayne! I appreciate the update and for you testing this out with me–nice work. π
It’s a good sign that things seem to be working as expected when new events are created with Twenty Fourteen active and cache has been cleared. I really do think there object caching is at the heart of what’s happening.
Let’s try to follow these same steps on the live site and re-publish the affected events and proceed from there.
Cheers!

MemberAwesome, thanks for following up! I totally hear you and see how that might be useful for situations like yours. I’d totally recommend adding it to our UserVoice page for consideration.
In the meantime, please enjoy the plugins! I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to hit us up if anything else comes up and we’d be happy to help. π
Cheers!

MemberI think any error logged in the console is worth looking into, whether the function seems to be applicable or not. Those things often are the source of unintended consequences, at least from we typically see here in the forums.
The code to change the page title works with the theme on my localhost with default permalinks
There has to be some sort of difference between what is configured on the local installation and the live site, whether that is in the theme configurations, the WordPress configurations or the plugin configurations. The fact that it is only happening on your live site and we’ve been unable to replicate it on either of our local setups or the demo, I think we’re left with something that is unique to the live site.
In this case, I wonder if it’s possible that the hosting could be playing a role here. That seems to be the unique difference between all the sites we’ve tested together.
The failed resource β why is an admin file been called when a user, such as yourself, that isnβt an admin visits the site?
That’s a good question. The WordPress Ajax API requires it to be used for any Ajax calls. Are you running any security plugins that would prevent it from loading?

MemberAwesome, I’m glad that helps!
Yes, you are correct and that can be styled with CSS. For your reference, the specific class will be:
.tribe-events-noticesAnd, yes, I would definitely appreciate a new topic if you have an additional unrelated question–that helps make answers to questions much easier to find for us and others searching the forums. π
I’ll go ahead and close this thread and we’ll see you in the next one!

MemberHi there, Amanda! Thanks for getting back in touch.
I see your previous thread here and can help y0u with this one.
Yes, past events are still publicly accessible and a notice will display on the event that indicates the events has passed. You can see an example of the notice in this screenshot.
Does this help answer our question? Please let me know. π
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Ryan! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the plugins. π
Good question. The Events Calendar is a free plugin that you can grab on WordPress.
The Evenbrite Tickets add-on is a separate plugin that does require a license.
The Events Calendar PRO is not necessary to run the Eventbrite Tickets add-on. Eventbrite Tickets will run as billed with the free version of The Events Calendar. However, if you do want The Events Calendar PRO, then it will require its own license as well.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Linda! Thanks for getting in touch.
Good question. Google grabs the data for those dates using rich snippets for events. The plugin is configured to deliver these for you so the events show up the way they do.
As far as the correct events displaying, I found the search result in question and this is the URL that Google links to from the result:
http://www.letsgoout-bournemouthandpoole.co.uk/whats-on/category/all-events/may-events/
If you notice, the page includes the Upcoming Events widget, which also contains a list of events including the ones that are displayed in the search results. I imagine that having both feeds of events on the same page is the reason why this is happening.
If you were to remove the widget from the template and give Google time to refresh its cache, I think that would have an impact.
Does that make sense and help answer your question? Please let me know. π
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Todd! Thanks for the additional info and for working with me on this so far. I bet it’s pretty frustrating to have something work for a while then seemingly stop.
I see you are using the Single Latest Posts Lite plugin for the shortcode. Are you able to add something to the shortcode such as number_posts=10Β to get more results?
Ultimately, while I understand the frustration here, this boils down to a compatibility issue with the Single Latest Posts Lite plugin and how it is pulling in events posts. I wish there was something I could do on our plugin’s end to help solve it, but I believe your best route in this case is to check in with the author of that plugin for additional guidance to see why itΒ seems to exclude some posts from its query.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but hopefully the Simple Latest Posts author will be able to help shed some more light.
Thanks,
Geoff -
