Hey Noah and thanks for getting in touch!

Good question and unfortunately the answer is no, that is not currently a supported option.

There is the option to open all filters by default under Events > Settings > Filters > Filters Default State, but not to open the filters individually.

We’re always accepting new feature requests over on our UserVoice page, if that’s something you’d us to consider in a future version.

Sorry that’s probably not what you were hoping for, but does it at least help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hey there, Wayne!

[…] and am running the 2014 theme

I’m seeing that both the live and staging sites are using the Edition theme rather than Twenty Fourteen. Is it possible for you to use the Twenty Fourteen theme on staging while we’re troubleshooting?

And how about my question about WPEngine? Are both sites hosted on it or just the staging?

Since WPEngine uses auto-caching and it looks like the times of the recurring events are inconsistent, caching would certainly help explain what’s happening. Are you able to empty and disable the cache, then create new tests to see if there’s a difference?

If you check out the links to the other threads I sent, this looks extremely similar to those and they appear to be caching-related.

    Cheers!

    Excellent to hear, thanks Joerg!

It sounds like we’ve hit all the questions in this thread, so I’ll go ahead and close it. If you run into anything else during installation, customization or development, please feel free to start a new thread and we’d be happy to help you out there. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Todd! Thanks for following up and sorry to hear this is still an issue.

This used to work correctly like a charm, but lately has been omitting events

Have there been any recent updates to the site? Have you updated the theme? How about other plugins? Are the The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar both up to date and running the same version (3.9.1)?

If things were working before and have now stopped, then that suggests there was a change made to the site and perhaps that can help pinpoint where to look.

    Thanks!

Excellent! Nice work pinning it down to the permalinks setting.

What that’s telling us is that there is something going on at the theme level that’s preventing the page title from displaying. In fact, when I view the site, I get the following error in the console:

Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function (main.js: 44)

Also, I get the following error when trying to skip to the next month of the calendar:

    Failed to load resource: http://www.midlandkarting.co.uk/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

Are you able to clear out those errors? In particular, the calendar heavily relies on AJAX and having it load twice can have adverse affects.

    Cheers!

    Hey Ferry–thanks for following up!

Actually, /events is using the list.php template and the address can be modified in the list/single-event.php file.

Check that out and let me know if you have any follow=up questions. 🙂

    Thanks!

I think we’re getting closer–thanks for the extra info!

What happens when you use default permalinks? Do you see a difference?

There’s clearly some setting between the local site and the live site that is causing this pop up. The good news is that there is no bug to squish, but the trick is to find what that setting is.

    Cheers!

Just looking into this a little more, there something else to note.

Looking at the All Events list for your recurring series:
    http://columbus614.staging.wpengine.com/?tribe_events=get-crocked-at-wyandotte-3&eventDisplay=all

Then looking looking at the following two instances in the series:

The Start and End Times for these two events are inconsistent.

I think this borders on the same issue you reported in this thread as well. Will you please try to replicate the same issue (with new test events) without the same plugins that were causing the conflicts in your other thread?

    Cheers!

Hey there, Jeff! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums–we’re stoked to have you aboard and hope you’re enjoying the plugins so far. 🙂

Good question. The only shortcode we currently offer is one that allows you to embed the Mini Calendar widget in a page or post using:

    [tribe_mini_calendar]

If you’re looking to embed other views, you might want to check out Event Rocket. It’s not supported by us here in the forums, but is maintained by one of the developers on the team. It comes with several other shortcode options you might find useful.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Thanks for the update–definitely keep me posted!

Interesting, are you hosting the live site with WP Engine as well? I know that one of the features it has is automatic caching. I wonder if that could help explain the root cause. Here are a few other threads that might be relevant as you dig deeper:

Thanks for checking and please do keep me posted!

I noticed that tags seem to be pulling correctly here:

Hopefully looking into the shortcode a little more will help shed some light on what’s happening.

    Thanks!

Hi Todd, thanks for following up!

Was there a recent update to your site (theme, plugin, etc.)? Could that have had an impact?

Will you please make sure you are also running the latest version (3.9.1) of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO?

Also, will you please run through the steps in this tutorial so we can check for conflicts?

I have a hunch that this is more related to how the shortcode queries the than it is with the events themselves, but let’s start with confirming any recent updates, updating the plugins, and testing for conflicts and go from there. 🙂

    Thanks!
