MemberHello haboredman,
Shoot, sorry about that! That’s definitely not good and I’m sorry for any frustration that overselling created.
By default, visitors are not able to select a quantity greater than the stock number that is available for a specific ticket. For example, if there is one ticket in stock, the ticket form will prevent the quantity from being any greater than one. Here’s a screenshot of how the looks on the front end.
Is it possible you the combined stock of all tickets for that event was greater than the available inventory? Tickets do not share a global stock (though it’s something we want to do), so I wonder if that’s where the discrepancy occurred. Let me know if that is possibly what happened.
Cheers!

MemberHey Torsten–nice to see you again!
Great working sorting out the error messages.
Do you happen to have the latest version of The Events Calendar installed as well (3.10)? Both plugins should be in sync to the latest versions to make sure there is full compatibility.
You can certainly revert back to the previous versions as well. The Events Calendar 3.9.3 is available on WordPress.org here and Community Events can be picked up by signing into this site and heading to My Account > Downloads.
You also mentioned translations. There are a number of new content strings in 3.10 that were not in previous versions, so there is going to be some missed translations for sure. You can see the latest progress on translations here and we’d definitely encourage you to submit an updated translation if you’re willing.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me now and thanks for reaching out!

MemberHello Tom, thanks for getting in touch!
We do indeed provide support for non-profits–in fact, we love it. 🙂
There is an application process. The process for it is outlined here and we’d love for you to review it and submit a request.
Does this help? Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions here and I’d be happy to help.
Cheers!

MemberHey there–excellent question!
I honestly haven’t seen an example of The Events Calendar being used with an external API to deliver events. We are looking at ways to sync events with something like Gmail, but nothing quite yet. I believe that would be quite a custom undertaking.
I do wonder, though, how something like this could work using the WordPress REST API–considering that the external source you’re using would be WordPress as well, or if you would be feeding events from The Events Calendar to another source. Interesting possibilities for sure!
Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete answer here, but does this at least help? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberThat’s actually very helpful–thanks for deactivating those!
404s can pop up for a number of reasons. Will you please try the steps outlined here to see if we can clean those up? The first step is the permalinks one we’ve already tried, but I would like to see that tried again now that the other plugins have been deactivated.
Thanks!

MemberHi Pat,
I’m still seeing a number of activated plugins showing up in the source code. Will you please deactivate those as well?
Thanks so much!

MemberGood follow-up question!
The only way images will migrate properly is by migrating your /uploads directly as well. That will make sure the same files are in tact and linked up.
The one thing I would be cautious with is URL for those images. If the URLs are not currently relative (e.g. /path-to-image) or make use of something like site_url() then those URLs will still point to where they did before. The plugin does make proper use of that when calling a Featured Image to a template, so you should be good there.
As far as following best practices, this WordPress Codex article does an excellent job of outlining the process. Following these tips will help a ton.
Cheers!

MemberHey there, bradkrauza–this thread has been quiet for the last couple of weeks, so I’m going to go ahead and close it. I did want to let you know that we released version 3.10 for all our plugins this week, so it might be worth updating yours to the latest versions (and backup your files and data, of course!) and see if you still see any issues here.
Please feel free to start a new thread if you still have any questions here and we’d be happy to help as best we can. 🙂
Cheers!
