Filter By Month on List View

Hi, is there any way to filter the events by month on the list view in the same way that the month view does?

IE: on the search bar for list view instead of the date field there would be a dropdown showing months; jan, feb, mar etc. then the list would show up events taking place in the month selected.

Would just like to add that this is a fantastic plugin I’ve not seen one of such high calibre in a long time.

Good question about month filtering in List View. While List View doesn’t directly filter events by a particular month, you can use the date picker in the search field to filter events that start on the first day of a given month, then use that URL to link people directly to that filtered search. That would give you a direct path to any given month in List View.

Thanks for the welcome and the quick response to my query. I’m pretty sure your solution will work, is there a way based on your idea, to get the urls for the start of each month in the template?

ie: output the url for each month in a list so that the user can choose one?

That’s an interesting idea! I’ve been trying to think of an available function that would help with that but am coming up short. I imagine that dynamically displaying each link in a template would take a fair amount of custom development, I’m afraid.

The date picker in the search bar is really the best way to go. Visitors can filter events there directly, or you can manually create a dropdown menu with the filtered links that visitors would then be able to choose from.

Sorry I don’t have more of a solid solution for you, but I do hope this at least helps!
